My wife thinks that I am overly affectionate. When it comes to being married, I do think one could receive too much affection.

she doesn't deserve you . maybe she is doing something that's making her feel guilty every time you show her what a great guy you are

Well I don't think you can "love" a person too much, however, my boyfriend is overly affectionate to me too. He's actually the sweetest guy I've ever met...loves me to pieces. But what you need to understand hon, is that some people (like me) need a certain amount of breathing room. I hate feeling smothered....I don't need OODLES of space...but I do need to not feel smothered. My best advice would be to try to find that balance so that you don't drive her away. I understand that the affection is a reaction to the emotion and that is beautiful...but for me (and perhaps your wife) just a little more breathing room would be a better expression of love...because if it's real love, it cares how the other person feels as well. I really hope I helped you! My very best wishes to you! :)

yes WHEN you become suffocation or controlling it can damage the relationship. If she is telling you it's too much just back off. You don't have to drool over her stay stuck on her back to let her know you care. No one likes someone who seems overly needy. It's great to do something special once in a while when you are constantly trying to whoo her with affection it's has the opposite effect and just gets ANNOYING.

I think it is possible. My husband is also VERY affectionate, and sometimes its a bit overboard, for me personally. Dont get me wrong, I love affection, but when it is constant, I sort of have no time to "miss it, and want it". I think its great to have an affectionate man, b.c its not the most common thing, but there should be a bit of balance I think.

I on the other hand think it is wonderful for a man to be overally affectionate unless it is in bad taste in public, she should be happy that you love her so much and show her so much attention, alot of women would love that.

Not everybody is touchy-feely. There is such a thing as too much , it feels like being crowded. Each individual has different(Personal space) requirements.

I really don't think so. I would love for someone to make me feel like that way. But, remember to give her some space so that she doesn't feel traped. I think she is very luck y to have someone like you.

I am so desperate for a bit of affection, why don't you divorce her and marry me instead! I am so jealous! I bet you love her, that's why...
