i've been with this guy for a year now . he is from the same country,middle eastern. we want to get married, i have been introduced to his family, and they are very nice. except for the dad he doesnt want to apporve his marriage. the guy is old enough to make a decison, he is in his midd 30. but without his dad blessing he cant do any thing,because it will be not respectfull for me and my family. and religous wise he cant make his dad mad at him . i told him i would talk to your father , he refused, because it would seem that we have slepts toghther and we didnt . i dont want to keep going like this without knowing the end of itl. what should i do?

If you had an 18 year old step son who graduated in June on the 8th and turned 18 on the 6th of June! Now he was staying with his mother and he has told us he wants to stay with us so for about 3 months now he has been! However he told his father and me (Step mom) that he doesn't want to go to college but rather get a job! So, he and his father decided in order to apply for jobs he needs to have his Birth Certificate and Social Security Card! However, his mother was supposed to have been supplying these documents and every time we ask his son if he's got it he says yeah, mom has it! So, with that said we ask him to get it and then he leaves goes to her house (she stays with her mother with her other 4 children) and stays a few days and comes back empty handed. This has happened more than 4 times. I am very annoyed what would you do? I'm about a year or so out of a 10 year marriage. My previous marriage ended in an affair (my wife met someone else). I currently have a live-in GF, who I love dearly, and who would like for me to propose. We've been living together for 3 months. Thus far, things are wonderful, but I still feel a bit hurt by the previous break up, and I'm not really ready to "jump in" again. My in-laws hate me and don't call the house they call his cell phone and they knew I was going away for the day they called the house it was on the caller id and he planned it to go there with my son and lied about where he was going until I called in to see how my son was doing he told me where he was.

Whats the deal guys? Your all so worried about how your wife cleans the house? One of you even said it's a women's job? Please, your making me sick...You all whine about not enough sex and she doesn't clean the house to your satisfaction...Do yourself and her a favor. Get her a cleaning lady and you'll have more sex. What is the cause of this? Before you all scream laziness I want to throw out some other possible causes.
1) Men are never taught how to clean. (Some men can clean guns well because their father taught them how to.)
2) Men consider it "women's work". (Men have no problem cleaning out garages.)
3) Lack of punishment for a subpar job. (Men in the military are able to keep things clean.)
I am just throwing these out there to help discussion.

I feel its because i just started a new job, my eldest daughter is turning 18 and starting college, and there has just been so much going on. It will be almost 2 years since my mothers death, which I have still not come to grips with - I truly havent been the same person, and this is NOT like me to forget something so important. i'll first explain my situation, my 'mum'(if I can call her still that) left my dad and my 3 brothers for another family, not just another husband, but also someone with 4 children. she just left us, but first taking all the money of us(5 years ago, she planned it) and left my dad, my grandmother(her mother) always said and wanted us to study and she had the money for it and she wanted to be used for that, so when she died, my mother got it and she always said, you'll be able to study and when you leave the house, you'll get a financial start, now she's gone, with all the money, of my grandmother and she gives her 'new' children all that money, we hear from friends that those children who weren't so rich before, are now spoiled, have the most expensive clothes there are, etc. well, now there's a 'divorce trial'(or who do you want to name it) and she postponing it in her advantage.
