Your child support is based on your income no matter what state you live in. Research your state law at the library or on line (assuming you lived in CA at the time of the divorce) . Also try www.alllaw.com/calculators/Childsupport
Your child support is based on what you made at the time of the divorce. If you make more money now it will probably go up. You need an attorney to help you if you want to fight the increase. GOOD LUCK! OH, ALSO if she paid for daycare services at the time you may have been paying part of that or all of it and if the child's in public school that doesn't have a weekly tuition you may can get that taken off. Read your divorce papers to check that.

there are no loopholes outher than 1 I know that I saw in court 1 time. Get disabiled
If your on disability you won't have to pay child support but then you wont have a life.
If you have more children with someone else you can reduce your childsupport also. Don't use a lawyer because in the long run you would have beeen better off paying it toward child support.
Try telling her your going to move close to her, like around the corner, and you will want to spend more time with your children, which will reduce the amount of support you will pay.
She will flip out and probably drop everything and try to talk you out of it if money is all she really cares about You can go to court for free and the da's office will do all the paperwork for you. You can also get tempory housing and tell the court you want to spend more time with your children even though your out of state.
there are no loopholes but the more time you spend with your children the less child suport you will pay.
good luck

Under WV laws the child gets 55% of the income if u are married and 65% if u aren't married they can also determine child support on a life style. Visitation is determined in court. U can still have visitation without paying ur child support.

Then call your children & youth services see where your rights start and go for it.
Your ex wife should be glad you want to play an active roll in your childs life! Lots of parents walk off sometimes run & are never heard of again. I Know I was single with 3 kids for a long time. But nothing is impossible.
I'm Proud of You!!!
Don't give up.
But keep in mind you should never say anything negative in front of the children. They will always remember the exchanging of bad words to and about each other. They'll never forget the one who did the bad mouthing. But they'll forget what the bad mouthing was about.
Good luck!!!

Ain't going to happen. Even if you stop working they will keep paying for you and you will have to repay the state.
Why are you looking for a Loop Hole. Sounds like it is not that you cant pay but that you don't want to.
This is support for your child not a payment for visitation.

Get a lawyer; there are a lot of them out there that won't get paid unless you do. But by law, she cannot keep you from seeing your child, you have every right to your child.
I'm sorry she's doing that to you. It's only the child who suffers in things like this; too bad she can't see that.

Get a lawyer. Go to the library er book store and get ur self up to date with the law in the state you and your wife reside in. There is no greater power than knowledge.

first of all, money doesn't gaurentee visitation, or lack of paying can't keep visitations from happening. You can file for a lower in payments, just as she can for an increase. How much you pay all depends on if a judge thinks your income is sufficient or not. She can't simply ask and be granted and visa versa, there are standards.

Get a job that pays less money. If you are paying her child support, I am sure that you can take her to court to get visitation rights.

the only way to lower your child support is to show that you are making less money now than you were before, but even then it doesnt mean they are going to let you visit
