my mom was abusive physcailly and emotionally for the first 18 years of my life, then she becomes just verbally abusive till now (physcially she is weaker now), i've moved out since i was 22, she never apologize for anything she did, last time i saw her she compares me to my sister openly, she also said things like 'you are not very beautiful you know?' , 'if your boyfriend is not sick, he would never go out with you, coz you are ugly', or 'you are not very smart', i am 28 got my own place, a great job, i have a very happy life until i have to interact with her, should i forgive her and make up with her knowing that she will ruin me, or should i not forgive her and carry on with my happy life without her? is forgiving somebody who never repent a good thing?

Tell me anything you want about your experiences with your identical twin: how are you alike and different? Do you experience a connection that goes far beyond just being siblings? What does it feel like to look at your twin; is it ever almost like looking at yourself?

I think you should if you haven't tried. I bought a new PC a couple of years a go and I asked my mother if she would like it so she could use the internet.

Having never used a computer before or very little she said "What would I want a computer for? Anyway she agreed and hooked up to the internet. Now she absolutely loves it.

So if a parent hasn't tried it then try and persuade them as they may be missing out on a lot of pleasure, entertainment and friends.

Not to mention buying you cheap gifts online at Christmas! Lol.

I am about 5'5 freakishly green eyes, strawberry blonde hair, skinny and 17 years old (by far the smallest in the family), my younger brother is 15 years old, he is 6'4, black hair and blue eyes (like everyone else in my family). My younger brother takes advantage of my size, the fact that i am the only one in the family with my characteristics and dominates me. I have tried being telling him off, talked to the parents, but he still dominates me. I will have friends over and he will embarass me just standing next to me and looking down. I am at wits end with him, any suggestions?

She will not stop feeding "junk food" to our children.....my husband and I will tell her that they just had dinner and she will bring out all kinds of cookies, candy, yogurt, etc...., she was so busy at christmas feeding our daughter chocolate that she missed opening presents with the family (yes we asked her several times to stop) .then she gave them all their valentine candy when we told her the kids had not eaten dinner yet, then today...she showed up in the middle of them eating lunch and said look what i got you and brought out sweet tarts....we try to tell her nicely (she is overly sensitive and takes everything personal), we've tried to get my father in law to say something but again she takes it personal, one of our children is a little on the heavy side and we don't want her to have all this junk.....what is a better way to approach this? it's driving us nuts and making us want to stop bringing the kids around her.

I met my close (former) friend last night at a mates party.(I needed time out to get over my feelings for her)She said the friendship was lost(via txt on Monday) and we both felt awkward at the beginning-I couldn't even say a word!I ended up speaking to her for most of the evening-she couldn't believe I was being so normal-especially after what she txt me(friendship lost-move on)

I apologised for hurting her i.e. wanting no contact - she snaped bck saying YOU NEVER HURT ME! GOOD/BAD RESPONSE??

I asked her if she'll join us on our group roadtrips - she said YES! - A POSITIVE SIGN OF FRIENDSHIP RESTARTING???

As she left I said that hopefully/possibly see you in a few months -she replied I'll see you at the roadtrip - we said bye and she gave me a tight hug - ANOTHER POSITIVE SIGN???

She needed a hug from my mate as it was too much for her to take in!

Since around 3 yo my stepson has had increasingly bad bahavioral problems at his mom's and at school. The teachers describe him as out of control and always in trouble. His mother often calls to complain of his being out of control and hitting, kicking or not listening to her. This is shocking to us as he is wonderful here. At her home, he is constantly around her family who is constantly fighting. They yell and fight and throw things, the cops are often called. Many of their relatives are as my stepson says "sick because of drugs." Her current husband has repeatedly visited prison for burglary and etc. My stepson often tells me he feels sad at home and no one pays attention to him. We are constantly setting up school meetings and inviting his mom. Begging her to change and do better, but he only ends up in trouble for talking to us. Her answer is to put him on meds for ADD, which he doesn't have. How do we get him in court if the courts always go for the mother?

My children and I are in need of assistance in many ways. After losing my job because of transportation my income situation was shattered. We have called on churches, people, everybody I could think of and this is our last resort of help. I have vehicle that was and went back to the shop to be maintenanced and I was dooped out of $850. The rest of my money after losing my job I had to use to pay the bills. We are now financially strickened and our only source to back up the bills is $266 monthly because of the death of the childrens father. I do have proof of everything I am saying. This might seem a little desperate to do this on the internet but I hope that some will see this and try to contact us. I currently found another job, but they have given me a second chance to show up but we have no transportation and it is off of the busline. That was the only job after the fact that would hire me on task because of my experience. Please help us. We are in Kansas City, Missouri 8163564235

Their father doesn't want to see them, they are only toddlers and they never ask about him despite his living with them and their mother til recently. But presumably in the future they will ask. He is alcoholic and doesn't support them and their mother wants no further contact so there is no conflict and the boys are happy. He lives in the same small town, so may not be totally avoidable in future. How to answer their questions which are bound to be extensive at some stage?

My daughter was born 3 months early and is somewhat slow, not retarded but has a hard time understanding things. Her bio father was never there 4 me. He left me when I was 4 months pregnant, got someone else pregnant and married her. I have not seen him 4 almost 19 years. I know I was wrong 2 not tell her sooner but she doesn't talk about anything and I just could NOT figure out how 2 bring up a subject like that to her. Well my mom accidentally said something 2 make her realize that my husband (who has been here since she was 2 months old) is not her real father and I think she is devasted. I am REALLY worried about her. She is staying with my sister out of town right now and was when she found out about this so I had to go over the whole long story with her online. She said she's not mad she just wished we would have told her sooner...any suggestions of how I can help her deal with it. Have already told her we will back her with any decisions she makes but I still feel horrible
