I met my close (former) friend last night at a mates party.(I needed time out to get over my feelings for her)She said the friendship was lost(via txt on Monday) and we both felt awkward at the beginning-I couldn't even say a word!I ended up speaking to her for most of the evening-she couldn't believe I was being so normal-especially after what she txt me(friendship lost-move on)
I apologised for hurting her i.e. wanting no contact - she snaped bck saying YOU NEVER HURT ME! GOOD/BAD RESPONSE??
I asked her if she'll join us on our group roadtrips - she said YES! - A POSITIVE SIGN OF FRIENDSHIP RESTARTING???
As she left I said that hopefully/possibly see you in a few months -she replied I'll see you at the roadtrip - we said bye and she gave me a tight hug - ANOTHER POSITIVE SIGN???
She needed a hug from my mate as it was too much for her to take in!
IS THE FRIENDSHIP REALLY LOST???

To me it sounds like she still has feelings about you but she is pushing away and she doesnt really know what she wants or whats is going on.

Well, from personal experience, i can say this: it seems like things were 'misunderstood' maybe on yr part? I always say, "never assume anthing..." but it's in human nature, unfortuately, people r 2 quick to assume/judge...sigh....
well, it sound like she u with the fact that, 'everything's a.ok..' and the "ball is in her court, now" so i would leave it like that...perhaps she has ALOT on her plate right now, hence the misunderstanding with signals/body lang. etc. sooo IF U want to poke a 'reminder' stick out there to her u could just send a friendly card (NOT one that rhymes) just basic with the message that u r there for HER if she needs it and that u look forward to seeing her on the roadtrip if not before then...and then, truly, give her some 'space' and IF she needs u, she'll get in touch with you...

Sounds like Friendship found but love ship lost. Grow up an let her go, it sound like she has. So before the road trip find another friendship with another girl. Move on and if there is time for her in your life later then reexamine it.

Nope the friendship is not lost..she talked to you, agreed to go on the road trip, gave you a hug, nope SHE IS YOUR FRIEND...good luck to you..
