Thank her, she is 8 and I am sure she thought it was great, if you tell her you don't like it she might never want to get you anything again. This happened to one of my friends when she was little, she got something for her parent and later found it in the trash, it really bothered her alot. IT is hard but you need to be the more mature in this situation. This is a time where the thought really does count.

Be nice. Tell her thank you. Make her feel good for thinking about you. Shes only 8 give her a break. You dont say what it is but you should display it anyway so she knows you love HER more than a present. Grow up.

It sounds to me that she would have a liftime crammed with issues she needs on her checklist. that's rude of her to invite for a present day. If it makes you experience sturdy to offer her a present day then by ability of all ability, do what you like yet she isn't "OWED" one. those are all fabric issues and probably the appropriate ingredient you are able to present her is your love. deliver her a card and need her a satisfied birthday. possibly a espresso at Starbucks jointly. only one thing basic that announces you have been thinking approximately her. It feels like she is somewhat vein and family participants habit has re-inforced it incredibly is positive over the years. greater valuable that she locate out now jointly as that's much less complicated to restoration what could be significant in family participants relatives. i do no longer know what her finiancial project is yet no longer even a card at Christmas to all people in the family participants? curiously you already know that is no longer wholesome habit and you recognize what to do approximately it. only be variety and by ability of doing so is an occasion of the thank you to act .... anger solves no longer something and usually makes issues lots worse.

Its the thought that counts. You wouldn't expect a 8 year old to get you something that you really liked anyway. If you really want another present, ask her to make you a card and then that's something you can keep forever and means something.

You should keep the gift because, it came from your sister heart. The next time just tell your sister what your exactly want for your birthday then this would not happen again.

Smile, tell her you like it, and thank her. She probably put a lot of thought into the present and wants you to like it. I'd say just grin and bear it..then stash the present away later.

It's the thought that counts. She is only 8, don't hurt her feelings, just keep it. I bet she is proud because she has given you a gift.

Tell her you appreciate it, and just keep it in a box. Take it out occasionally showing your gratitude. Cut her some slack, it's nice when your little sister does something for you.

grow up. you are so unappreciative. you don't deserve anything. shame on you. your sister is only 8 and probably took a lot of thought in considering what she got for you. you deserve nothing. you're a brat.

she's only eight so you've got to just love it. you didnt say what it was - is it something you have to wear? or is it something u can just leave on the shelf. dont hurt her feelings - she probably spent ages thinking about it and planning it.
