What makes a man follow his wife's orders not to visit or have contact with his own mother? Any answers?

My male cousin, Mario, has not seen his mother due to his mother not being able to get to the hospital in time to see his wife deliver. He is also jealous of his brother's children and their daily visits to their mother. Mario's wife refuses to let Marioand the children visit his mother. Her mother & family live directly next door to his mother. Sadly to say, Mario's mother has now passed away. His wife and children were ordered not to show up at the funeral palor. Mario did not show up. What is happening with this family? Any help please?

As for not showing up at the funeral...well, thats just disgusting!!

Marios brothers children must have visited because they did not just stay next door - and also they visited out of love, expecting nothing in reurn - unlike Mario it sounds like!

i hate to say it, but i've seen this happen over and over again. it is usually when men who like bossy women end up marrying them - and there's a lot of them out there - and now that they have someone telling them what to do, they follow blindly.

many men also think that showing affection towards their mother make them seem week or imature, so when the wife is against it, it's that much more reason to cut the mother loose.

i'm sorry things went that far in your family, but i'm afraid it's not the first or the last time this happens. it's just a certain breed of men - good guys, too - who are only happy when they are miserable trapped in these relationships that seem/ and are very dictatorial, but it's what they want.

I would hope that there is something you don't know here. The mother did something awful to her daughter in law, maybe insulted in her in some awful way and refused to apologize.

If the mother did something horribly wrong, the husband should support his wife.
