I really do not think so. My son and daughter shared until my husband remodeled an office into a bedroom. We moved her in on her 7th Birthday. Neither of them were self conscience about their bodies or interested an the other's body at that age.
I know if you have foster kids there are laws but I think not for your own children.

I don't think it's against the law full stop but the theory is children of opposite sex should not sleep in the same room after turning eight. Obviously if you only had a one bed flat and could not afford a larger place they are not going to haul you into court. However if you are asking because you are in Council housing then the above will apply.

Certainly not at that age and even a little older. As someone has pointed out here in Scotland the Councils would not consider giving you an extra bedroom until a certain age.

If there is such a ridiculous law, it is the RESPONSIBILITY of every parent to make sure that they break it. What sort of a pervert sits around dreaming up these laws? What do these people suppose that two seven year old relatives get up to in their shared bedroom They're (not there!!) only kids, and related too. URGH!!

No, it is not against the law for a brother and sister to share the same bedroom. They are young so there is nothing wrong.

When they're 7 they are still very young. If they don't care, why worry about it? I think when they get a little older, they may not feel ok with it anymore, like when they start going through puberty. If it was me I know I wouldn't want to anymore probably around 9 or 10 years old.

I never heard of that. My daughter is 8 and my son is 7 and they are in the same bedroom, (different beds). I see no wrong in that.

I never heard of that law and I work with kids.Maybe your state has it.But u shouldn't have them stay together after 7.The reason is they get curious about the body and u don't want them in the same room.If something happens between them then they will have emotional problems when they get older.Good luck

Nope. They can share a room until they're 90 for all the law cares!
However, ethically, I think once one of the children notices the difference between little boys and little girls it's time to separate them.
( I think I was 4 when my mother said I asked her why I didn't have a pee pee like my brothers. That was the last time I took a bath with them! )

its not against the law but the recommended age for them to have their own rooms is 10 and that's mainly to give them their own privacy while they go through puberty, i know a few people who's children's bedrooms have been quite long so they were able to partition it as a solution
