My story is that I was at a friend's house one night, it was nearly 3am, I was on the opposite side of town, and I didn't have a ride home. I planned to stay out late, I even told my grandparents I wouldn't be coming home til morning. Unfortunately I didn't have the ride like I expected to have. Since I couldn't reach friends with rides to take me, I opted to just take a cab home. Once my grandfather found this out (he's way overprotective), he immediately started to flip out on me, and he threatened to call the authorities to get me if I wasn't home within an hour. I'm 20 years old, and he was threatening to tell the authorities that I was "in danger" at my friend's house when I was telling him that we were okay, just watching movies, and that I didn't get the ride like I expected.

My grandpa didn't call, I got home, but I was wondering if he has the right to call for police to get me, even when i'm 20 years old? Yeah, it was very ridiculous and unnecessary!

First of all~ I love and cherish my daughter, however......

she continues to lie to me and others and when she is caught lying she goes bolistic and has shoved me and hit me and called me cuss word when i contfront her or when i have to give her a consequense such as not phone, or no myspace, or no going out w/her friends if she lies , or misbehaves etc...she goes nuts on me and it is scary~ she is the same size as me but very muscular~
here are some examples of stuff she has done....

when she was at her grammas house she wanted to go on te computer to go on myspace but her gramma said no because (I)
told gramma she bad grounded for making 3 f's~ well she got a steak knife out of her grammas kitchen and threatend her with it if she did not let her go on~

ok...here is another one.... we live in orange county 2 miles from disneyland.... our family loves the place and we have annual passes to disneyland well....over the xmas holiday shelby (my daughter) lost her pass

See I'm 13 and my big sister keeps messing things up for me.My sister keeps wasting money and hanging out with people who are not that great. She goes and helps other people, but when we (family) need help she is too busy. She constatly gets into arguments with my mom,and basically it is just a big mess. Also she has bipolar so I guess that maybe part of it. My mom doesn't want me to be like her and now she keeps watching my every move and bothering me more than usual.Plus I know she is hurt by the things my sister is doing. How do I get her to let it go? I talked to her a little and it kind of helped, but it wasn't good enough.

I lost my grandmother in Nov of 2005, my dog which i had for over 13 yrs in Jan of 2006 & my father in Sept 2006 after his long 2 yr struggle with brain cancer/tumors. 3 deaths within 1 yr in 1 household! It hurts a lot & I miss them all! When does that emptiness or pain in your heart go away? Well it get any easier?

I've been working with him for 6 years and I've helped improve-expand and modernize the business. I have very well proven that I'm capable of running it on my own. The problem is that now his old fashioned ideas and practises are an obstacle to the business' developement but he doesn't seem to realise it, how can I make him understand it's time to let go and rest.

Like going to the movies with my friends or going out with them. They think they have to know my every move. It is not fair. My Sister and my Brother gets away with it why can't I? I don't Understand. Is it because they want to protect me. There is such a think called over protective. And if I have to I'll find another way to go with my friends. I think that they should have boundries but not strict boundries where I can't even leave the house with out a body guard. Over Rated.

I was a single father for six months and never had a problem. My son is my heart and he makes me live. He is my everything. I don't even date or will never been with a person because he is the most important person in my life. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and I lost him until I go to court to clear my name. WHAT can I do that I can stop crying and feel better I miss him so MUCH. I used to be a kindergarten teacher now I feel lost without him, ;-)

My mum won't let me go to an under 16s night with my friends at a club because:
she "has to give me boundaries" I think she's just coming up with random excuses because she thinks I'm going to jump into bed with the first guy who comes along? Why won't she trust me? What can I do to convince her to let me go? I'm 13.

I get along with my mother-in-law really good My husband and I are moving and the rent is more a month then the place we are at now, and she thinks we are going to make a mistake But we know what we are doing and we did our figures and we will be doing better it will save my hubby in gas driving to his job. now he drives even farther and with the difference with the rent and the gas it's almost a wash. But she don't think so. plus i have a baby girl too I don't work now but where we are moving it will help out too I might be able to get a part time Job. What i want to know what else should I tell my mother-in-law? she keeps saying little comments and when I say anything about it she
gets quiet so does anyone have any ideas for me what I can tell her and not get her mad at us??

I hate my brother in law for the following reasons
1. I beleive he is a closet homosexual. It has already been confirmed that he has had a gay relationship. (Do straight men have gay relationships?)
2. He's a mummies boy
3. He disrespects my niece(not his child) when he really means to be angry with my sister.
4. He doesn't shut the bathroom door when hes's going to the toilet.
5. He drives like crap putting everyone in the car in jeopardy.
6. He quits his job when my sister first finds out she's pregnant.
7. He can't hold a job because he can't handle it when they approach him when he has done something wrong.
8. He's a mamas boy.
and the list goes on.
I love my sister but I hate being around him. I'm sick of being fake nice and hate even if he hugs me. Do I have to be nice to him for her sake. Can I tell her how I feel about him or should I just shut up and suck it up?

People in my family always compare me to my (older) sister and make me feel like I'm not as talented as she is in such things as art and sewing. She is a really good artist and whenever they see her work, they ask me, "how come you're not good at art?" Recently I started taking a sewing class and a relative asked me, "why did your sister learn sewing on her own and you need to take classes?" I feel bad because I feel like people think she's more talented and much smarter then me. I know that we are both different and have our own strengths and weaknesses but it makes me feel bad because others don't see the things that I'm good at. What should I do?

My husband always tells my two teenage boys how much he studied in high school, how he didn't need to go out with friends on weekends (because he was studying) and how smart he was when he was in high school. Now he is mad because my 2 teenagers aren't as "ambitious" as he was. They get A's and a few B's on the report cards. But my huband says "anyone can do that". My kids hardly get any homework (do most during class). They study before the test but that is about all they do for homework. I know my kids should study more but I think the problem might be that don't want to end up like their dad?!
He has anger problems (on medications), anything they do "good" it is Never good enough for him (sports or school), he is always looks at the negitive side of EVERYTHING.
He thinks they should spend more time studying then playing sports or playing computer. Which I agree but how do I get my kids to be more ambitious while letting them know they won't turn out like their father
