I don't think they are in the "know it all" state because I was never like that as a teenager. I never thought I knew it all like Lisaah36 is stating. I just was confussed and trying to find myself alot. That was all, and yes there was peer pressure, and teens go through different experiences depending on the direction they take in life and the mistakes they make.

they are learning....and I think people in their early to mid twenties, or boastful people in general have the know it all personality. The young adult stage, when they are out to college and or working.

Because of hormones, and new brain cells growing in the frontal lobe of their brains. Plus, they are trying to "find" out who they are, gain more independence. Because, as much as we would like to think of them as "kids", they are young adults. They are growing into their adulthood. Research has found that scientists are thinking that adolesence continues into the 20's. As my mom told me when I was in my 20's. "I can hardly wait till you get in your 30's". I asked "Why?" She said" because when you are in your 20's you think you know everything, when you get in your 30's you realize you don't." She was right. I hope this helps answer your question. Take care.

This problem is annoying but has been going on since the start of time....they are young and just have no experience to tell them they are wrong...minds not fully formed.

Hormones are going crazy and its their adolescent time in their life where they're trying to figure out who they are and blah blah can be pretty stressful sometimes.
