Here's the thing. My parents have been married happily for 25 years.
My older brother and my older sister have already moved out. I'm about to move out to get married and live my own life.

My parents are constantly fighting about little things. They're both very hard headed. They fight about littl things and then won't talk to eachother for at least a day and after they gt over it they start fighting again.
I know it's suppose to be none of my business but i love my parents. I don't want them to get so mad at eachother that they want to get a divorce.
What can i do to help them settle down again?
What can i do to help them not to fight?

Any ideas and suggestions are welcome.
Thanks in advance for your help!

As for me, it was my birthday weeks ago and my brother (he's 14) threw me a surprise party. He put a blindfold on my eyes and he sat me on a chair. He grabbed my ankles and put it on a stool. Then I felt rope around me. I didn't know what was happening. Then I felt rope on my ankles. I was wearing boots all day and it made my feet more sensetive. I felt the boots being pulled off my feet. I wiggled my toes as I felt the cool are on my feet. I felt a feather go up my sole. Since I am extremely ticklish I burst out laughing for 2 minutes. That is what he was up to. I found out my older sister (She's 28) was in on it. They started to furiously tickle my bare feet. They did for over 2 hours! They tickled my belly, armpits, ribs, and my you-know-what. I laughed so hard I teared. My brother Tony and my sister Melissa love to tickle torture me for hours. One time they hid all my shoes. (I don't have socks, they tickle my feet too much) I had to let them tickle my feet to get them back.

My kids have had some problems, one her husband left and moved out of state and left her with 2 kids and a mountain of bills, her heat is got shut off and will not be turned back on till paid. The second, he just can't make enough money at work to pay his child support and live on his own, the 3rd has a girlfriend who is pregnant but is involved with someone else and he didn't know where to go. He also has drug and alcholo problems. All of them have the grandkids, and that is my problem, I don't want to see the grandkids suffer for the parents mistakes. We live where the weather is terrible.

Say if you are just leaving you parents house for ur very frist time. You are in college right now, your finacial aid is paid for. the college is offering to find you a job as soon as you finish. You are looking for a job on the side while in college to save up for a apartment or small house and car. Your bf on the other hand was in the system "a foster child". So the government will pay for his first house and cover half of his bills. He is in college too majoring for engineer work. The gov. paid for all his finacial aid plus extra $ for living expense. After he graduates they will place him in one of there jobs and help him find a place untill he is 25 yr, He is 19 now. He has a car and money saved up already for right now. Together you both are looking for a place. But dont quite no how to start. Any comments or opinions?

By the way I'll be 18 when i finish college both of us with no kids.
Please adults only, educated answers with experience. Thankyou

My sister is having problems with life in general right now. She hates school, gets REALLY bad grades, gets into fights with my mom constantly over the smallest and biggest things, shes hanging out with a really bad crowd, and acts as if she hates the world. She seems to think because I act as if I care, I'm being 'such a parent'. She acts as if the entire world is out to get her, and gets an incredibly snotty attitude with me on a daily basis (we share a room, so its unavoidable). She is 14 years old, and I'm really getting worried about what she's going to be like in a few years. It's like she hates me because I act more responsible than her or my brother (i have an older brother, younger sister). I don't know what to say to her anymore. She acts buddy-buddy with me when she needs to vent, but calls me a goody-goody and a bookworm and a stuck up parent, when I don't even do anything!! I'll be sitting here talking to her, and she'll call me all those name when we disagree. help?

We are a blended family and I am in need of support. My husband and I have had custody of 4 of our children from his previous marriage for going on 4 years now. Mom is not really around. I am supportive of my children and their relationship with her when she does call or is around. I never disrespect her. Just recently I found out that Mom and her husband are trying to have a baby. I am in a state of shock. She doesn't take responsibilty for the children she does have emotionally, financially and she thinks its responisble to have another child. I find myslef increasing inpatient with her and becoming shorter with my kids. I love them so much and would never do anything to harm their relationship but COME ON. I struggle so much with balance. I feel like I am fighting a no win battle. I feel like its a contest I can never win. I know its not a contest but it sucks sometimes. Any words of widsom would be appreciated.

My sister is married, had a little boy 9 months ago & he has Downs Syndrome. Her mother in law comes from Arizona twice a year. My sister & her don't get along. The mother in law refuses to see the child at my sister's home & instead wants to pick him up to take him to her other son's home. My sister is very protective of her son & the in law knows nothing about Downs. My sister told the in law that she wasn't going to take her son anywhere, if she wanted to see him she could do so at her home.. The mother in law told her that she would be hearing from her lawyer... Sister is very upset. Just wanting to know if anyone is familiar with any grandparents rights.. She doesn't mind if the in law see's the child she just doesn't want her to take him anywhere. Please help....

My boyrfiend and I have our own relationship issues, but its even harder with his family - His brother and his girlfriend (they have 5 kids) are crackheads...They blow money borrowed or sell stuff...Last night he came to borrow 8.00 and we didnt have 8.00 only a 20.00 - He begged and bug the hell out of my bf till he gave it up - Luckliy today when his brothers gf called to borrow 20-40, my boyfriend said NO. Its very hard for him cuz its family but he knows we have our life and bills to take care of. They dont work and live with her mom. They will run out of milk and use the money for drugs then cry abot milk and diapers. Which we have broght them to for the kids - not money cuz they wont use it right.
but recently his mom lost her place and moved in with us to save money and get her own place. We have held money for her to help her save but then she needs money and gets money back. She has no bills - other than helping us out which we dont ask for. Sha hasnt saved any money. 1 month

My son is 5 years old and the principle called me this morning and told me that he got wrote up for hitting another child. I don't know if he hit the child first or was defending himself but his conduct is not good at all. Other than that, he makes 100% on all of his work. I have tried taking away his toys and video games and making him go to bed early and nothing ever works. BTW, I do spank him and nothing works. Me and his dad are divorced. Any suggestions to help him improve?

I don't know what to do. I'll give you a little history. My mother-in-law ( husband's mom) didn't want me and my husband to get married, she tried to talk him out of marrying me. ( I was told this by his brother's wife, and I believe her) She never comes over to visit us unless she wants to borrow money or food or something. Her daughter and her husband and 2 kids live with her. Neither of them work so she's supporting herself, her daughter, son-in-law and 2 grand kids. They never call or come to visit unless they want something and never pay anyone back. My mother-in-law borrowed $700 from my husband's brother's wife to get her daughter that lives with her out of jail for writing bad checks and never paid them back. They are always borrowing money from someone to pay their electric bill and never pay any of it back. I hate going over there. We are supposed to go over there today when my huband gets home from work but I really don't want to go. But I know she is his mother.

found out we are pregnant and told my parents. They are completely against the move and want us to stay here so they can keep the baby once it is born while I am at work. My mom doesnt want me to put it in daycare and she wants to keep it. However, my husband hates it(he loves to fish and hunt and hasnt in 5 years due to us living in the this place-it is almost the dessert) where we live and he does have a good paying job but he works atleast 120 hours every 2 weeks and we never get to see each other. We are willing to take a smaller house and less paying jobs so we can spend time together. My mom is my best friend and I dont want to upset her but my husband is really wanting to move(he moved 6 hours away from his parents to be with me 5 years ago and now he wants to move in between our parents and his parents)What do I do?

my half sister lives with her mom and my dad isn't a good parent. her mother really isn't either. she doesn't work and my sister goes without food sometimes. she's always moving my sister around and she's 11 and in school. is there any way i can get custody of her so she can stay in a stable school and make friends. i know how important childhood friends are in the development of children and she's unable to keep them because of the constant moving. i'm 20, working full time, living on my own with my bf in a house with an extra bedroom. i know if it was based on best interest of the child she'd choose to live with me. i teach her things and make her do her homework. i help her with problems and i make sure she does chores before going out to play. the house she lives in is always dirty unless she cleans it. she's been fixing her own food since she was 8 because her mom wouldn't do anything. her mom always brings random guys in the house and i don't think that's good for my sis to see.
