my brother's girlfriend's dad died of a heart attack last night. my brother was at the house and tried to help but couldn't. WHat do say or do?

I don't have very much money to go x-mas shopping, we moved into town and our jobs don't start until next month. So I told my daughter that x-mas was coming until the end of January, am I a bad mom to do this. We used most of our money to move here, and yes ends are barely being met. We are both teachers, and I think we moved bacause my husband started to get involved with the school secretary, so one of them left voluntarily and yes she was the single mom, so My husband moved us out of that place, he claims to feel sorry for her.

With over drinking? 2 yrs running, this person has "started" in drink, causing upset etc. It is becoming a real problem, with other family members. Is it reasonable to refuse them this year, going on past experience, even if you feel kinda mean? They never bring any alcohol, so you end up paying for them to give you grief! Feel mean, say no? Or, risk another upset?

My husband and I and our 2 young girls just recently had to stay with my mother-in-law for a few weeks while our home was under construction. I love her very dearly, but she is an alcoholic that won't admit it. During this time we paid her for staying there, among other things, she has borrowed money from us more than once, which has been the cause for fights in the past. I am usually the one to make peace and she usually always takes my side. This time however she had said some things about my children ( her grandkids ) that really hurt me. If she had been a true grandmother and loved her grandkids she would never had said these things. So she sends a nasty letter one day along with a check and a have a happy life. I wrote one back letting her know how I feel this time, I want more than anything to send it, but she is one who thrives off of this kind of stuff. I don't want to give her that satisfaction, but at the same time I am ready to stand up to my family. What do you think? Send?

I'm 14 and i have recently moved into a new house (about 2 months ago). I have ended up with a room which is totally (i wont swear but it's that bad.) It is a half wood panelled room with old lights and furniture and it doesn't even have a door. I am forced to live in this room because no-one else in my family wants it and the only person who does isn't allowed (my dad) to have it because they smoke. I really hate this room and my parents don't allow me to decorate it or even put up posters. I want to decorate it but every time i pop the question i get in trouble for "acting like i own the house."
How can i get my parents to give in and let me decorate my room so i can have my own sanctuary?
P.S. I dont want any insults i keep getting comments i can't make sense, i know i can't but please stop insulting me about it.

my sister has just came back from Chicago, when she lied and told me she was just going to be gone for the weekend and left my neice with me for 7 months with me. I didnt want keep her with me but as i kept keeping her she eventually grown on me, we have fun i take her to the movies, we dine out, and i buy her 2 new outfits every 2 weeks when i get my check. Now i have no kids, a boyfriend for 6 months and my house is going to be empty because my sister decides she wants to come back into her life and get her i mean she's already been through enough being moved from school to school every 2-4 months and now when she's stable my sister wants to come back what should i do i am desperate for help

My father drives me nuts!! no space. I have seizures and have to be at home. I am getting over the seizures slowly but surely and my dad follows me all day. He is retired and has NOTHING to do. It drives me crazy!!!! I'm feeling independence but he won't give it to me. I just can't live with him and want to move out sort of but am scared to be alone and I want to be sure I am over seizures before I make that leap!

well, me brother mother Llama and shadow went out for a christmas meal. It was very busy so we had to wait for a table, brother started to get hungry i could tell becouse he started spinning around and licking my ears! Anyway mother could also tell he was hungry so she whipped out her left boob and let brother suck her nipple! After about 20 minutes brother stopped sucking and ran out the bar screeching! I wondered what all the fuss was about so i grabbed mothers boob and started to suck to my horror milk started to flow from her nipple, it tasted very nice by the way! She has three children who are receiving state benefits because their father (her ex-bf) has been in prison for over a year. she sent them to schools,provided them with basic needs,and sent them packages with goodies.her sister is financially dependent on her.they don't have enough to get by.my cousins' mom has abandoned her responsibilities,so my mom,who is very concern and loving person,has opted to help.but some of my cousins' did not finish college,and at one time they even tried to trick my mom financially.now,my mom is sending one cousin to nursing school.she is,so far,honest with her schooling and even got high grades.i don't mind my mom helping her,but until when is she going to do that?my mom's sisters,who are more financially stable,did not raise one finger to help them.my mom has given up so much for my relatives,has compromised her finances.we have told her numerous times to stop sending them money so she can start saving money for herself.i think it's about time my aunties should do their part.waht do you think?

My 21 year old sister is pregnant. She isn't married and still lives with my mom. I am very worried because she is the biggest spolied brat you have ever seen and my mom is just making it worse now. My sister have been taking off work because of the baby. I asked my mom who works her butt off is she was helpping her around the house and she said, "No, but I wont let her, she doesn't need to be lifting clothes baskets and stuff, she might hurt herself." Well, I'm really worried that as lazy as my sister is, it's going to get worse after the baby comes. That my mom will be stuck raising this kid. My mom is old and would not make it threw raising another kid. But every time I say something to my sister she just starts yelling and if I say something to my mom, she gets mad. How can I help them and make sure my sister doesn't kill my mom without pissing everyone off?
