Okay my grams is 82 and all anyone can do is rag on her and say shes mean. Which she not and the only ones that can see that is me and my aunt. Because I'm only 14 If i say anything its just ignored. It really pisses me off cause Grams aint doing to well and every time the subject is brought up and she is ragged on I get mad! and want to hit them cause I dont think they should be doing that. What is wrong with these people? Why are they sayin bad crap about a good hearted old lady who could be gone any day?

they are the same age (16) and his daughter constantly takes my daughters clothes without asking and then lies about it and says they're hers. My daughter is a size small/med and his is med/large. She stretches out the clothes so much my daughter can barely wear them again. When I tell my boyfriend he just says that we can't prove they're not his daughters. We know they are! That is not exageration! Every time something comes up missing we find it later on in her room. She'll even bodly wear the clothes to school. I am ready to move out. I can't deal with this any more!!!

My family has been drifting apart in the last ten years due to a lot of pent up anger and fustration. Our last argument was so intense that physical violence was unavoidable. I want to salvage my family. Talking among ourselves is not working. Maybe we just aren't "listening" to each other or maybe we simply cannot understand what the other person is trying to get through. I thought maybe counseling and therspy can work, but before I start digging deep into my pocket for these sessions, I want to get the public's opinion of whether you think therapy and counseling can help.

I'm 15 years old, and i live in Missouri.

My mom and i were fighting and he heard us and came up to "finish" it or something.. We were sitting down, then my mom went to get something out of my room to take it away from me and my step dad threw a chair at me, yelled at me about how good i have it, then ripped me out of the chair when i called him unreasonable... He ripped my shirt, and left bruses on my arms. I left the house, which amounted to me crying in the woods for three hours, and when i came back in for shoes, he put me in a head lock and i had to pry myself out of it... then he said they'd throw me in JJC with "the ni*****". Then he put up his fists and called me a pu***... he connected with my right jaw when he swung at me. When i tryed to tell me mom about it, she just said prove it, and he said the same thing... what should i do? i need help....

I'm horribly. I'm feverish, my nose is stuffy, all over my body aches, shaky, sneezy, and I have this obnoxious cough. Plus to put the icing on the cake, now I'm expieriencing horrible stomach pains. So I think I caught a virus. I relaxed today and drank some tea. I thought I was feeling better so I went to the mall with my friend. Big mistake. That's when I started feeling my worst. And it just went downhill from there. Problem is..my boyfriend's mother invited me to their annual polyanna. I've only been with him for 4 months and its a great oppurtunity for me to meet the family. But I don't want them to see me like this. However, I don't want his parents to be hurt if they are expecting me to come. I bailed out on my friend's Christmas party tonight because I felt horrible. If I feel just as horrible tomorrow, should I bail out on this one too?

I feel like no one has gone through a similar situation...so please help me out if you have been. my parents got divorced when i was about 9 (i'm now 20) and since then my dad has been remarried. when i was a senior in high school they got divorced. since then my dad went from being an active, intelligent hard working person to someone who just sits in front of the tv...he even knows who paris hilton and britney spears are....its that bad. i feel so guilty. i live at college, which is 4 hours away from home. i feel that its my fault they got divorced, and now he's doomed for the rest of his life. he has an awesome job and basically enjoys life, but i feel like he's just going through the motions and will be happy to get out...almost like he's suicidal - but not. he's 57 so i feel like its too late to get a new start. any advice is really appreciated

I hate it when he does that. It is an invasion of my privacy. I have good grades and I didn't do anything wrong. My backpack is clean. He assume that I did something bad so he checks it everyday. Why can't I have a brother who careless? He always over protected. Please I want my independence back.

This is his first year at a prestigious university. We noticed a change when he came home to visit the first time, he hadn't had a shave or haircut in weeks. And we also learned that he had attended an anti-American war protest for class credit! But what was shocking was when he visited for Thanksgiving, which was always one of his favorite holidays. He seemed contemptous about the family gathering this time and started saying it was a disgrace to celebrate a "genocide" and something about smallpox (?).

Anyhow, things haven't gotten any better since he's come home for Christmas break. His father asked him to take out the trash and he did so, but only after muttering about "patriarchy". He doesn't want to write any Christmas cards or give presents, not even to his Aunt Marge. He says he refuses to participate in an "orgy of consummerism".

What the hell happened to our son? Did they brainwash him? Or you think maybe drugs?
