It sounds as if your father is worried about your seizures and wants to be with you to help and keep you safe. That sounds like love to me. My father is dead and I miss him a lot. I wish he were around to worry about me! Count your blessings until you are well enough to leave. When you are well enough, thank your father for his caring, and move out.

I imagine that everyone feels that their father drives them nuts, even my three sons. Ha! Your dad is probably concerned about you and feels that what he is doing is good parenting. Perhaps you need to sit down with him and have a mature conversation and let him know what bothers you. It isn't easy to change overnight but perhaps your dad will try and be a little less bothersome to you. It is the most difficult job in the world, parenting, and trust me when I tell you that someday when you are also a parent your children will say the same about you. Sorry but that's just the way the world turns. There has been generation gaps in my great grandparents, grandparents, parents, mine and my childrens lifetimes and there will be in your childrens also. Good luck and try and keep an open mind when you talk with your dad and do not say hurtful things to him, but be grateful for what he has done in your life and let him know of this gratitude also but that you need some space. Merry Christmas and best of luck.

Kimbo,
First of all there are ton of people out there who would give a nu* to have a parent care that much,
having said that, I am sure it is driving you nuts....!!!
Any chance you can get one of those dogs that is trained not only to sense fi a seizure is coming on but can do the whole 911 bit as well?....then you would have your freedom and could feel safe as well....just a thought...
but, don't pick on your dad...he just loves you and you are very lucky....good luck and merry merry to all you out there in answer land...

i know you think your dad drives you nuts but he is just really worried about you. just try and hang in there and enjoy spending time with him. my dad was killed almost 3 years ago and i wish would have spent more time with him. you don't realize it until they are gone that you can't spend any more time with him.just talk to him about your space and set one or two days to spend with him.just take it one day at a time.you will get them controlled my husband has epilepsy too so i know from experience.

properly, in case you think of the ingesting is properly a huge undertaking seem an the AA internet site. as far as getting your dad back to paintings, looking on in case you think of he can commence asking him to observe your youngster for bits at a time. then tell him you will get a job and want him to observe him in case you're working.

He obviously loves you and cares about you. I'd just let him know that you appreciate him, but that you need a little space.
