.I called my husbands phone to tell him our duaghters eye was swollen and puffy and i was asking him if we should take her to the dr. Well when i called and told him this he and his mother where on there way to have dinner(what she calls a mother son dinner, but he was also meeting some friends there to play pool) well he said don't worry about it my mother put some eye drops in her eye and she should be fine. This woman put some mistriouse eye drops in my daughters eye and she leaves when my daughter wakes up i freak out....wouldn't you? anyways when they come home 2 hours later she starts yelling at me saying something about that i'm gonna call the cops on her because i accused her of abusing my child by putting unknow eye drops in her eye. she continues to yell and scream then she tells me to not talk to her and she storms off into another room. She comes into the small area im in and won't let me pass her so i ask her to move she won't the i try to go past her and she says don't

We don't have much money so we set a limit on each other this year. We were happy. It was for the rest of the family that broke us. We have to buy for about 12 people and we try to keep it to $10 to $15 each. My hub. has 10 brothers and sisters so it is very inconsistent as far as gifting; some only buy for our daughter, (some cheap, some not), some give us money as a family, some only send a card and some we don't hear from at all. My family is small but involves step nephews who move in and out of my brother's house with babies or change girlfriends all the time. We don't know them very well and their sister never seems to appreciate anything we buy for her. Hub's mom can no longer host the family get together so it is such a commotion trying to figure out how to get together and not get people's feelings hurt because of no gift. I had some of them over but spent 2 days cleaning and stressed myself out and spent more than we could afford for food. Any ideas?

My father is a veteran of the vietnam war. 10 years ago he had 2 strokes and was put into a nursing home by the state becuase they found my mom not fit to take care of him. I was wondering when he dies who will take care of the funeral and will the state get all of his money. I was told my father had over $50,000 in his estate but i dont know if im eligible to get any money out of it.He has a lawyer but she is a b**** and wont let me look into his estate. He is my dad and i visit him every weekend.What are my rights

My wife had got bit by the family dog "a lab"a few weeks ago. Today, in which is Christmas I said, Its nice you faced your fear and went to see the dog which is staying at my fathers house.

Sometimes parents have to take some harsh measures. My kid is good but is
doing bad stuff and for now I can't trust him. He's sensitive and saying this to him will be devastating. But I HAVE to make him change, or I may not have him at all. I don't want to destroy our relationship. He promised to change but didn't.

Her name is Ashley Nicole Jakes or maybe even Robertson. She is 20 years old and she, as far as I know lives in Pasadena Texas. I've been trying to find her but my family keeps telling me she will come to me if that is what God wants. I think a lot of times her family hasn't even told her about me or her blood. She thinks in her heart that her adopted mother is her real mother: cause she told her the whole story on how the labor went and how she brought her home from the hosipital. Susie Robertson can't even have kids that is why mother adopted her out to her. Plus my mother didn't have enough money to support both of us and she took me because i was 2 1/2 and i didn't need all that stuff that a baby needs. Since we were little children, my older sister has always been resentful of me. Obviously jealous because I had better grades in school, etc. We are now in our 40s, and she is still demonstrating the same nasty behavior of bitterness, one-upmanship and will-never-be-outdone. I have a well-paying job which she resents. My husband and I travel abroad every year which she resents. I have expensive clothing which she resents. It appears she never outgrew her envy towards me. It's old, and her behavior has gotten in the way of our relationship. It totally drains me of energy. I have decided to completely write her off from my life. Wooh! I feel better already! Any thoughts?

I have a 7yr old little boy who got an aquired brain injury in a car accident when he was three. He now has a numerous amount of problems although when others look at him they can't tell he has a brain injury. I have now been with a man for about a year and he now knows about my sons injury. My mother has been receiving books on brain injuries and how to help a child who has got one and she has been giving them to us to read and learn from. I am definately going to read them but my new partner says he has amway books to read. What should I do to get him to read the books which I think are more important than amway books?

My sister-in- law always has something negative to say to me every time the family gets together. I am an outsider, so to speak, her husband and my husband are brothers. For example, last time we were together she made a remark about my "FMP" shoes ( that's F--- Me pumps). This X-mas as my husband & I were going to his sisters house we brought a beer along to drink (we live about 50 min. away) & of course, I spilled half on me. When I came in I asked "my sis" could I have use of a hair dryer to dry my jeans. After a few words were exchanged about why I needed a dryer she(bad one)retorts (when no one was even talking to her) "What, do you need to be drunk to come to a family function?" I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!!!. If this was my family I would know exactly what to do, but these are very calm, nice people and everyone says, "Well, that's just Betty". She doesn't say anything to anyone else but me. This is a large family and I really don't know the best way to handle this. HELP!!

I am not sure where to start with this & am not sure where to go either. have a friend who is a single mom on welfare.Her son's name is Johnny & he has Cerebral Palsy.The father left her the minute he knew he didn't have a "perfect" son.Johnny has physical therapy 4 days a week & this mom is forced to take a taxi.The cost is $85.00 one way.She is on welfare so I am not sure how she manages.My family has done so much to help them but there'sonly so much we can do.Her son is her world I know she would be devastated if she could not continue his therapy because of transportation costs.How would I even begin to find her transportation for donation or close to no cost. My husband &I would be able to pay a little but not much at all. We have 3 children so we don't have money floating all over the place to spend on a car for my friend. Where would I even begin to help them with this matter? I run her all over the place in my carut with gas prices so high, I can't keep doing it. Any ideas?

Ok here is some background... She moved in with me my husband and our four kids because she didn't like where she was living before. I made my husband choose her or me and our kids because she was smoking in our house and my son and i have lung problems she disrespected me on a daily basis. When i said i wanted her out she would say well i'm calling CPS because you two are the worst parents ever. Well long story short we asked her to leave but we gave her 3 weeks to find somewhere else. She leaves the day before christmas. Tells my sister in law that we kicked her out that day and she made us change our christmas plans as a comprimise we had christmas at my sis in laws house where the m-i-l was also. We got there she started in on me again making her son feel guilty for his choice and telling my son to call her by her name because she is no longer his grandmother. She is still making our lives hell what should i do about it? Get a restraning order or just ignore her til she dies?

ok . my family sucks! i found out my dads a drunk and my mom yells out of stress. try as i might i give her stress when i even double check to wht im doing wrong. my dad makes me just break down all the time. he goes to AA meetings but how can i know its working. i mena i just found out and hes been drinking all my life. he started drinking becaz my mom got cancer while being pregnit without her nowing about the cancer. the baby was 4 months premature and sadly died. since the my dad has been drinking. i always feel like im never good enough! i try everything tht my school offers to make him proud but i feel like i cant becaz hes either working or sleeping and is never there 4 my games, plays , or anything!! he makes my mom cry so bad ! me 2 ! how can i call him dad??? he is nothing to me now? how can i 4give ? i mean i want to forgive but its hard ? what can i do to make him love me , be there for me, be .....a dad.

i hope i make since so i guess tht this is a cry 4 help..

I was so bummed out this Christmas season because my dad is gone now, and C-mas is now at my brother's house and this year it was on C-mas Eve which my family has NEVER done. My daughter no longer believes in Santa and no longer wants to get her picture taken by the tree like we always did. My mom in law is elderly and has Alzheimers and can no longer host my hubby's huge family at her home. Nobody wanted to get together this year in his family so I invited some of them over including his mother. Not related to C-mas, but my mom said she went for a ride and decided to stop and see the old cabin she and my dad had remodeled into a 3 bed 2 bath home and sold about 5 years ago, and she stopped at the corner and the house was GONE. The yard was bulldozed over. She was so scared she didn't even want to ask the neighbors if it burned down or something. It was like a family project, you know? My father who I thought adored my daughter. He actually chaged for a while after she was born. My father has some really weird personality traits, loves to live in the past, minipulate, talking about everyone, family member I have cut off, (My family is beyond toxic or Dr. Phil) stopped working at age 40 due to physcial and emotional problems and love people to feel sorry for him...

Anyway, he has been staying with his SIL and her family... They are totally disfunctional. He really likes mycousin who is alsos uppose to be disabled but bought a cell phone this month wwith his welfare money but didn't send hhis kids anythings. Kids he hasn't seen in years....

But anyway, he spent Thanksgiving with them and assured me that he would be her on Christmas. Anyway, I was suppose to pick him up on Saturday. Then Saturday night he changed it to Sunday. Then he called on Sunday asking me if he could make it later. I am tired of him trying to get his way and minipulate me.

I have a mother that seems to have a drinking problem. She tries to hide her drinks, act like she hasn't drunken anything, or just anything she can possibly do to hide the fact that she doesn't have a problem with it. It seems as if she has to drink everyday or VERY close to everyday.

I've talked to her more than 25 times it counting, no lie. I've prayed for years. I've tried to pour out her drinks/bottles. I've done EVERYTHING I could possible do.

It seems like nothing will help me. What should I do?

She tells me she'll quit more than 20 times, and never has. She's sweared, promised, and all that. I'm scared for her because I know it's possible to get lung cancer, and she's already had surgery for a tumor in her stomach, so it makes me even MORE scared.

Someone PLEASE tell me what to do. I've been as patient as I could.

What would you do if your wife sis got bad attititude?
My sis-in- law is a sick creature, leaving her peroid blood stain on the toilet floor, and expect next person to use the toilet to clean the mess.

Once i was doing business in the toilet early hours, and got a shock!! i was sitting beside a "open up fill with blood sanitary pad" lying on the chair..eeks !! pui!!

Many times the toilet was not flush after she use it, her excuse was "save water".

Guess what, she was already 25 years old..

My wife quarrel with her parents regards to this, and her parents just say "clean up only mah, wat's the big deal"

Best choice to move out (already did, but the memory still in mind)

Today on chrismas day my mom and dad had a fight witch led to my dad hitting my mom .(He does that all the time) today my mom couldn't take it anymore and called 911 and they arrested my dad. And now we have to wait for the court i don't kno wat to do! I have a boyfriend who has a relative ( who is in his mid 20's) who has an alcoholic problem. This relative likes to get drunk daily and can be violent at times (luckily, not towards anybody). He has been kicked out of the house several times, he's been to AA meetings, and his family, my boyfriend and I have tried to help him out in many ways, but he refuses to hel himself. I'm getting extremely worried because my boyfriend and I noticed really big cuts on his arms, and they looked pretty deep. I feel horrible, because we have tried everything we could and he is still causing a lot of pain to himself and it's hurting us all. What else is there to do? Serious replies only. Thank you!
