.I called my husbands phone to tell him our duaghters eye was swollen and puffy and i was asking him if we should take her to the dr. Well when i called and told him this he and his mother where on there way to have dinner(what she calls a mother son dinner, but he was also meeting some friends there to play pool) well he said don't worry about it my mother put some eye drops in her eye and she should be fine. This woman put some mistriouse eye drops in my daughters eye and she leaves when my daughter wakes up i freak out....wouldn't you? anyways when they come home 2 hours later she starts yelling at me saying something about that i'm gonna call the cops on her because i accused her of abusing my child by putting unknow eye drops in her eye. she continues to yell and scream then she tells me to not talk to her and she storms off into another room. She comes into the small area im in and won't let me pass her so i ask her to move she won't the i try to go past her and she says don't

touch me then pushes me so i push her back and she says i hit her and dialed 911. So my question is what would you have done if someone did that to you? and also was i wrong to accuse her of hurting my daughter?

I don't have eyedrops in my home. She had them in her own purse so i could not read about it if i do not know what was put in her eye.
My mother in law was living with us at the time (she was asked to leave by my husband because she wants everything her way like as if it where her house and she wanted me out of it so she made my life hell for the 2 weeks she stayed there.
She was babysitting our four children because supposedly it was saving us money on child care i fought about that with my husband and lost that battle until he asked her to leave.

I would tell her you had three reasons to call the cops now and do so. Keep her away from your child because she is a danger and if your husband doesn't agree, he can have supervised visitation as he could be a danger also.

Did the drops hurt? There are some drops that numb the eye and can be extremely dangerous--the tissue in the eye can be damaged very easily and you've got to be careful not to rub the area--How old is your daughter?
I probably would have pushed the crazy old bat too.

Do you live with your mother n law? If not stay at your home and do not be alone with her. Where was your husband when this was going on? Did he stick up for you? And no you could not call the police and have her charged with child abuse she was taking care of your child to the best of her knowledge and she had permission to take care of her since you were not with your child. It sounds like you have issues with your mother n law. Try talking to her with your husband with you and make sure this takes place in your home.

If you do not like her handling your kid then you do it yourself. Nothing in life is mysterious unless it is some ghost stories. If you do not know the eye drop then read about it and find out what it is.
Behave like an adult that you are and be more mature in handling yourself and other people because every single thing that you do is what you are teaching you kid.
It is very apparent in your question that you resent you mother in law but if you change your approach then you can not only dine with them but you will also have a healthier environment for your child to grow and more supportive people to rely on too.

I would have called 911 and had daughter transported to the nearest hospital to be check...Also would have reported MIL for putting stuff in daughters eye. Now as far as the pushing MIL, if the witch laid a hand on me, someone would have had to call 911 for her to be transported to the nearest hospital...I'm a mother hen, you mess with one of my chicks i will peck your eyes balls out...
You may need to get rid of your husband...till he grows up and understands he has a family to take care of, this does not include his mother....

Tell her to get the F out my house and take that pus*y *** son ( if he don't back you up) with him. Next time she pushes you, beat her with a frying pan.
Don't ever take any sh*t from anybody, big fat mother in hag included. Before I met my wife of 110lbs, she got pushed by a man at the mall. Men stood up to give her help, but she took a chair in the foodpark and bashed it over this guys head. Stand tall girlie

If I had concern for my daughter's swollen eye, I would call him, to meet me at the doc's where I was taking OUR daughter.
And when ANYONE does NOT respect me in MY home, they would be requested to leave. And if they chose NOT to, I would call the authorities.

You need to talk to your man. If he doesnt listen then I would leave. Sorry I know its harsh but you shouldnt be taking this abuse and he shouldnt be letting it happen.
