my mom kicked my dad out when I was 3, he was an alcholic, he is sober now after 10 years, but he lives in cicero, and i dont. My mom wont let me live w/ him. But i do, then dont.

My mother in law wants to come over early Christmas morning and be here for when the kids wake up to open presents with them. In past years she has spent it with her other grandkids, but this year she says is our year, and doesn't want to go to the other grandkids house in the morning. We would rather have a quiet Christmas morning since we do a big dinner later on in the day. This will be our first Christmas with 2 kids (2 yrs and 4 months old), but she seems so set in her ways that she wants to be here. She also is recently separated from her husband so she will be alone on Christmas morning. I have no problem with her coming over but not until later on in the day along with everyone else, after the kids have had their naps. Am I being selfish that I want to spend a quiet Christmas morning with my husband and kids?

.My daughter was going thru a difficult pregancy and my soul mate about to start dialysis all on the same day, both emergency surgeries, well, thru misfortune, my grandson survived, so did my daughter, but my soul mate of eighteen years passed, within two hours of each other. His funeral is scheduled for sunday and my daughter is due to being the baby home sunday, both live out of state from me. holidays made plane sched impossible, no flights leaving at all to where i needed to go, because i'm wheelchair bound i need special reservations and can't just up and fly like anyone else, so driving i don't do and connections were out of the question, my daughter felt i should come to her and his mother thought it was it right time now for me to show up for her, after all she did care for him during all of his illness in the past 7 years, where do i head first or what do i do/ only sensitive answers please. i'm full. i lost my baby sister in feb of 06, a good mentor 11/06 and my best neig

I stayed with his family for Thanksgiving, and had prepared a thank-you gift to give to his mother. I'm leaving tomorrow at 9am with my boyfriend to go back to college. Should I give it to her tonight (it's already 11:15pm) or tomorrow? She's still awake.

My 15 year old daughter is very violent towards me. She curses me out, beats me up and does whatever she wants. She has beaten me bloody on several occasions. I have been batter, and bruised and have had several concussions over the last few months. My husband says that her actions are just a normal part of growing up and that I should just be happy that she doesn't beat on others the way that she beats on me. He thinks that maybe if I switch deodorant brands, it might calm her down. Should I continue to let my daughter beat me up, or should I kindly ask her to stop??

Help! My little brother (and I) HATES my step-aunt who came for dinner tonight. She's still here. He put Visine Eyedrops in her milk with dinner and he knew she is allergic to Tobasco so he put some of that in her pasta sauce! He also got his hands on some of my mom's Clorox bleach, and put some in her applesauce. No reactions have occured yet, but it's been 5 minutes since she ate. What should I do?!?!?! HELP!

I am now 20yrs old, and have been searching for my father since i was young, but old enough to search for him. i have looked in electrol rolls, written to magazines, tried looking for my father's brother and sister (my uncle and aunt), but have had no luck. He is 42yrs old, (1964) his brother's name is JAMIE, and his sisters's name is KIRSTY MACDONALD. The last time i heard of him, was when my mothers mum mentioned he was going to England- where his mother lived. he had sent cards to my mother (MARGUERITA MACMILLAN) when i was 2yrs old and havent seen or heard of him since. it was partly my mothers fault why he left. my mother doesnt know where he is, and doesnt care. I would like to meet him for the 1st time in 18yrs. If there is anyone out there that knows him or his where abouts, please, answer this. He has a grandson who is 4 months now. if he has another family, i would love to meet them. i am only hoping i will one day meet my father who i have been longing 2 meet my entire life

Me and my sister are ten years apart we both have children and choose complete opposite ways to raise them. I go to church, don't curse, and spank with my hand. My sister on the other hand does go to church, but curses like a sailor around her children, and spankes them with a wooden spoon. We are both very close to my mother, and I am very close to my father, and so is my daughter. We just cannot get along. Her oldest child is out of control and takes her anger out on my one year old. I love living close and being close to my mom and dad. How do I put her sailor mouth and bossy attitude out of my life while still staying close to my mom and dad?

well.our housemaid is a single mom.. when she worked here w/ us she didn't tell us that she's pregnant and the baby is 7 months old, in just 2 months she's going to have a baby..On the month of june,she gave birth to her daughter and i even gave the name of Janella Grace.. after that we took her home.. after 1 month of her birth,she came back coz she has no money left to buy her daughter's milk.. we accepted her even though it's bad for her.all is well and good but 1 day i saw her dress like me,act like me,walk like me,and eat like me. i was devastated w/ her. i told her not to be like me but she won't listen. she even told my mom that they're not going to let me go w/ them in the mall. i got mad with her. she even pretend to be me.. and she even took my things.. what shoul i do? help me pls...

I just can't stand him. He never does anything right he always gets on my nerves. I have tried to explain to my mom how I feel, but she won't listen. I think he is like my father who I really really really hate. He actually tried to mess up a huge project I had(which was considered a test grade.) Whenever I tell to leave important work alone he will try to mess it up. Once I had to a reserch paper I had to finish and he stood at the computer threatening me with a metal bat. When I tried to get him off he almost hit me. He had his own room(we onlty have a 2 bedroom) and he never slept in his own bed, he would always sleep in the bed with our mom and when I took his room he starts telling my mom I am doing stuff that I never do. He is only 12 and he is already the most annoying 12 yearold I've known in my life. I have tried to ignore him, but I can't take any more. What do you think about his behavior. What should I do?

My step dad is an alcoholic, he's been with my mom for four years. He has been the only consistent father figure in my life and I love him to death. He also has two daughters that I absolutely love. He gave me a younger and older sister, and a complete family. But all of them have been causing my mom and I such terrible problems. My little sister is a bratt, my older sister is a snobby ***** and my dad drinks constantly. I know it's for the best that my mom kicks them out, but I don't know how to deal with it.

We have a lot of relatives staying at our house for Thanksgiving weekend including my cousin, her husband and their 8 yr. old son (my second cousin). Well, she and her husband went out and left their son for me to babysit for the day which I had no problem with. He is so precious!! :) We got to go play with the "baby" sheep and dog in the backyard. Anyways, at sundown my father was having the traditional wine and bread blessing so I gave my little cousin a small cup of wine so he could participate. When his mom came home he came running up to his mom and told her that "Aunt Angel", which he calls me even though I am not his aunt nor my name is angel, gave him some wine. I thought she would be proud of me but she was very angry. She told me they are Primitive Baptist and they do not drink wine and that I shouldn't be giving a child wine. Then she said that they have had enough of our family and were leaving. I started crying and ran into my husband's arms, was I wrong here?

I know I will. I was only hit a few times, and I know it wasn't normal. My adoptive brother walked right out of an abusive situation and into a more abusive one, thanks to my f-n uncle. But then my brother ((I read his journal by mistake)) has been abused for a long time now. Should my mom get them councling? What can I do to help them?

She's only 14 and she told her mum (who does'nt smoke) that she smokes fags . i'm the only one who smokes in her vinicity as her mum and dad (my bloke) dont smoke. My grandson had been abused by my husband for a while. I found out and talked to him, letting him know that's not the way to raise kids. So we agreed on what we would do for diciplinary issues, etc.

Now my gandson is in the hospital because he tried to commit SUICIDE. Yes, SUICIDE. Thank god his sister found him and called 911. I'm wondering how the hell did it get to this point when I read his journal and realized that the abuse had been a lot more then he let on.

His grandfather had been MOLESTING him ever since he got out of prison. Often he would flat out hit him for no reason. I learned that he was a lot more depressed, too, and hadn't been eating properly. My husband is now sitting in jail, but how can I help my grandson?
