Family - November 2006

Ok, so heres my problem, I live in a house with my dad and sister, and currently my boyfriend. Well, my dad has smoked for over 30 years, and the house is always smelling like smoke. My boyfriend starts telling me how he can't believe that my dad smokes in the house and doesnt "care" about me and my sisters health. He said we are prolly going to die when we're 35. I tell him I've tried to tell my dad about his smoking but its his house. You can't tell someone whos been smoking for over 30 years to quit their habits 123. I dont know what to do my boyfriend is always making comments now, and I'm really tired of everything. he thinks I don't care I DO. What am I suppose to do?

i allready asked this but in a different way people got the wrong impression. my mother got married when i was two to a man i loved but when i was 13 he sexually harrased my sister and tried to buy her off with a diamond necklace so she wouldnt tell. My mother decided to believe him when he said he didnt do it over her own daughters comments. i have an 8 year old brother that lives with her. he was tacken away once because she was" a bad mother" and i would like to see him but every time i try to talk to my mother again she blows everything in my families lives in MY face but i would really like to see my brother. now it has been a year since i have had contact with her or my brother and now my stepfather is in Iraq so iw ouldnt have to deal with him.. help!!

My 2 month old german shepherd Dog. while playing. Bit me. At she didnt have its single shot. So i think i better kill her. I didnt tell anyone. She bit just a little. my hand was red where she bit, And after one hour there was blood. I think i better kill her. What do you say? I mean... what should i do with my hand. Should i look for a doctor, will my hand get worst if i not see a doctor. There was a little blood. Very little. And suddenly stoped. But i think rabbies virus will kill me and my family.

My brother has just pinned me up against the wall by my throat...hes 23 I'm 24......for absolutely nothing and my mother sat there and did nothing. I dont even feel like I'm part of the family....she hasnt even asked me if I'm ok

He doesn't even live at home, I'm only home for the winter, and it all started because I went on the computer and he turned round and said 'dont you ask' to which I replied 'whats that got to do with you? I live here you dont'

My mother still hasnt even bothered asking if I'm okay. Before my sister died I used to come down here as little as possible cos she was always being nasty with me, looks like its my brothers turn now

My sister and I both like different kinds of music. We also have a little brother. I like music like: Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli, Barry Manilow, Bette Midler, Michael Buble`, and more artists like that. Where then my sister (like other kids her age) LOVES HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL! And nobody else in the family likes but her. Except for now. See, my brother, he used to like the sae music as me, but now my sister tells him that he shouldn't like the same music as me, and only the same music as her. And so now my brother makes fun of my music. What should I do?

This is the 1st x-mas my son has asked 4 something specific & has been talking about it for months. He tells everyone in sight. I was planning on getting him the gift from us. I intentionally left it off his lists to grandparents & others. My mother in law informs me on thanksgiving that she went & bought it. I didn't know what to say. I was shocked. She says every year what she is going to get my boys so we don't buy the same things. Trouble is, she never buys what she says & then the boys don't have it. She has dissapointed them year after year. Myself included. I can't tell her to take it back b/c then I'd hurt her feelings. I can't tell her we already bought it b/c we haven't. It's my fault for not buying the gift when he said he wanted it but I'm a habitually late shopper. I'll shop on the 23rd this year. Should I buy him the gift like I planned & then he'll already have it? I probably will no matter what you say, I just want to hear everyone's opinion.

My father hits me and my bro (not hard, but not playfully), he swears at me when I do something stupid, he twirls his dick when we're (me an my bro) are in the room doing work, he smokes at home when our relatives aren't home. The other physical abuse is that years ago he would put his fat 200-300 lb body on each of us, who are half his weight, to the point where we would almost choke. Should I talk to a police officer for more help? What are the legal reprocussions? (fine, possibly a court order would be nice) Please reply, I had enough of the abuse.

i think my mother has gone crazy. she just stopped smoking and the effects are starting to hit on her. her mmind is consistently changing, and she treatens members of our family to get what she wants. i really think she has gone crazy sometimes! i am leaving in two months to study, but i pity my dad who has to deal with it. what can i do to stop her craziness? sometimes i want to kill her. please help me. what can i do to help my mother from being so terrible? she is not really a fantastic mom either. she hires a driver to fetch us from school and a maid to cook our food. me and my sister are seventteen and eighteen now. she started slacking off from her MOM DUTIES when we were about 14. am i being selfish? or is my mother really not a good mom. the only reason i find her a good mom now is because she totally arranged my education for the best! i really appreaciate her for it, but she is forcing me to go with her plans, thinking it is the best for me.

She stole a table from us worth $100. When we found out & wouldn't let her keep it, she went into a fit! She grabbed a door out of my hand & got right into my face! My fiancee had to jump in the middle & push her away to keep her from attacking me (keep in mind, she's 200 pounds heavier than me). I'd like to press charges, but the local police department is very close to her, I know she'd just get away with it. I was wondering if I could possibly sue or even go to the State Police with this matter, as I don't think it's fair that she gets away with trying to attack someone like she did. Keep in mind also, she's a 40-something mother who acted like this! She's divorced (I can't imagine why!), and I'm even wondering if I should talk to her ex-husband & let him know the psychotic rages she's going into around his children. She obviously needs some kind of medication, because it wasn't normal the way she acted. Any advice on what to do here would be greatly appreciated!

I come from a large family and it seemd that whenever there is a crisis, or even worse, someone makes a decision, it affects me directly. For instance I have a sister who always jumps back and forth with her decisions. Then she calls me and says something like"Im gonna need to stay at your house for a few months" I'm like How the heck did u figure that one out. Now its nopt like it's just her, she has two children as well. So as you can see, it's big stuff. It's usually the same sister, but if not her another family member. I'm really to the point where I want to move far away rom my family and cease contact with them because I think they are crazy. I work very hard to take care of my own 3 children and I try not to ask other's for anything because I realize that it's hard out here. So y do they keep coming to me?

He gives them & buys them anything they want ! Not only that he lets them disrespect me ! & when i try 2 disapline them he say's im a bad mother ! We have 4 children ! 2 r grown! 1 is 18 & lives with him now ! i have 1 15 living with me & the 1 tha lives with me already has a scolarship 4 colledge ! the 1 that lives with him didnt graduate! & they r lying 2 me about that ! & when he comes 2 pick up my 16 year old 2 bring her 2 his mother house .The 18 year old is with him in the car !!!! & she doesnt get out the car 2 say hello !!!!!! & her father had a nerve 2 say he has nothing 2 do with her speaking 2 me !! but yet he had a nerve 2 say im a bad mother ! telling me i need 2 sit & talk with her ! how can u sit with some1 that doesn't even ecknoldge you r their mother !!!!?

well, I'm 14 and I don't live any longer with my family, i'm studying abroad in a very far country..... just wondering how many of you have the same condition with me?? Do you think i'm still too young to be here all alone without friends and family at all? The problem is everybody here is korean, i'm the only one who's not korean... thx
