That is tuff. i can tell you that my mom had me at 40 yrs old my dad also 40 yrs old both born in 1936. I'm glad my sister talked my mom out of an abortion. My sister was 12 at the time. When my mom told my sister what she wanted to do my sister begged her not to have an abortion she said (at the age of 12) she will help to raise me. And she kept her word.Me and my sister are best friends. She also helps me a lot with my 10 yr old son.
PS i think that the mom will be just fine if she has this baby, she just will have to make changes to her life again. She knew she could get pregnant. I hope she makes the best decision for herself and her unborn fetus who can't answer this question.

If I were her mom, the first thing to do is take a pregnancy test (store-bought should work, but a doctor visit is more conclusive). If negative, fine. If positive, then I would have to decide whether I want (or am able) to keep this new child. Abortion is not an option for me. If I decide that I am not to keep the child, then I would place it up for adoption, perhaps being picky to the extent that I would only give the child to a couple that is unable to concieve. That way I know for a fact that they want a child and will take excellent care of mine. If I decide to keep the child, then I think if might be practical to have a talk with the 20 year old about moving out. She should be able to understand the reasoning without being offended or feeling pushed out of the family by the baby. And she's probably itching to get out on her own anyway, if she's not already there. Anyway, that's what I would do.

First off, don't boter with the **not allowed to say* - either use a fake name OR omit any mention of "her name is..." etc.

It just clutters things up and makes it harder to read.

Now can you explain WHO the mother thinks is pregnant?

Your friend?
The eldest sister?
The youngest sister?
The mother?

It is clear to YOU because you know, for us, the sentence is so confusing it is NOT clear who you are on about.

Until we know who you are on about, we cannot really comment much more. Perhaps worth adding some information to your question?

if it is the mom that is pregnant then she should wait to tell her children until she knows for sure then when she finds out for sure then tell them. if it is the 20 year old she should tell her mom when she find out for sure too.
