2 month old dogs don't "bite," they PLAY. It is healthy for them to play that way. She most likely doesn't have rabies. Stop messing around on here, please. I mean if you are serious, you should not be around animals alone...please don't kill anything!

If you are going to get a disease from your unvaccinated puppy, killing her is not going to resolve the issue. What you need to determine is WHY this dog bit you. You say that it was while you and she were playing, but can you tell if it was an aggressive bite? It is quite possible that she was excited by the game and did not "mean" to bite you. Instead of determining the dog's future based on how hard she bit you, or how much blood you saw, consider management and training strategies. How to train your dog from now depends on why she bit you. If she was just caught up in the game, then practice with her by creating a new rule: no teeth on human skin, ever. As soon as her tooth brushes your skin during a game (even by accident), drop the toy, turn around, and cross your arms. Stand like that for 10 full seconds before resuming play. You are teaching her that the fun can only continue if she is paying attention to your skin and her teeth. If, however, she bit you out of aggression, it gets more complex. You willl know this is the case if the bite was accompanied by strongly dominant behavior, such as raised hackles, growling, or showing teeth. If this is the case, start training her in a low-risk situation by initiating a game she never gets too into. For example, instead of playing tug-o-war with her favorite rope toy, play fetch with a boring stick. Practice "emergency stops" in which you suddenly tell her to drop the toy and sit. (Obviously, teach her both commands beforehand.) When she is responding instantly, make the game a bit more exciting. Intoduce a better toy, then keep working on the emergency stops. Keep making the game more and more excited, but only very gradually, so that no aggression ever gets a chance to come out. Your puppy is only two months old and has the capacity to learn new rules about not biting -- please give her a chance by seriously retraining her, seeking professional help if needed, before you resort to euthanasia.

Get your hand checked out. Since you were playing, the dog probably didn't bite you on purpose so there is no reason to kill the dog.
Take the dog to a vet and test for rabies. Your dog is young enough to train so look into obedience school. Some pet stores like Petsmart offer basic classes for a small fee or you can get books and train it yourself.
When the dog is old enough to start its shots, get them and keep them current every year.
If you get rid of the dog,try to find a good home for it while it is still young enough to accept a new master, the humane society will destroy the dog if they can't find it a new home.

I hope you will read this and reconsider your possible decision. A dog is a lifelong responsibility and you need to train good behavior. There are a ton of reasons that your dog bit you and most of them are your fault. If you are even considering "killing" your dog, you should relinquish her to a no-kill shelter or a German Shepard rescue immediately. She's a puppy and if handled correctly will be a loving lifelong companion.
If you keep your dog, you must get her shots immediately. It is extremely unlikely that she has rabies. You should also take her to doggie training. Petsmart, for example, has a good introduction class. Also, the training is more for you than it is for your dog.

For one, go see a SHRINK and fast! You would be committing a crime buddy killing any animal, I think you know that!!!! Puppies don't bitte on purpose unless they're treated cruel, so, I suggest taking the pup to behavior classes before you do something STUPID and get reported since OTHERS are seeing your intentions on this Board!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OR, give the puppy to a GOOD home if you can't handle the responsibility of getting him/her proper training!
Also, pups need chew toys and plastic chew bones for the development of their teeth, as they, by nature need to massage their gums and teeth, which is probably he wants to bite, but, I'm positive it's harmless! THEN, get his rabies shots while he's young, then you won't have to worry! This all goes towards much expense along the way, so I suggest now, own up to proper attention for your dog, $$$$$ wise and with Love, or you owe it to the poor animal to give him to a GOOD HOME!
Don't EVER announce any intentions on here again about doing harm to any animal 'cause WE animal lovers out there would turn you in in a HEARTBEAT!!!!!!
AND, get some HELP yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure you get a shot if your dog has not had his shots....and you do not need to kill your dog because he bit you once...he is only 2 months old and doesnt know any better. However, if he continues to bite then you should think about giving him to an animal shelter.

First of all, I can't believe that you would even CONSIDER killing a HELPLESS LITTLE PUPPY!!! You shouldn't even have a dog if you are willing to give up on it so easily. As others have said, puppies bite when they play, AND they have very sharp teeth. As far as rabies go, its highly unlikely that she has it if she isn't sick. If you have reservations about the puppy, you should find her a new home.

Puppies bite in play, just make sure when he bites again you reprimand him sharply. If he grows up and bites a lot, he probably should be put down.
And definitely get him his shots!!!! It is the responsible thing to do. It also kind of sounds like you aren't ready for a dog, but in that case, I'd donate him to the SPCA instead of having him put down.

You shouldn't kill your dog just because it bit you. If you're praising the dog too much then you need to stop and tell that dog who's the boss. Duh you should look for a doctor I mean like how is your hand going to get better if you don't treat it correctly?
Happy Trails ♥!
