definitely yes, if not your parents, then a friend, a priest, a counsellor. we all should have at least one person we can confide in. in the film 'shall we dance?' , it was mentioned that we need somebody to be a witness to our lives - i agree. if the problem is too personal or embarrasing for you to discuss with people who know you, then sites like this one can be a good opportunity to talk to somebody with the advantage of anonymity. it might make it easier for you to divulge the details of your issues without exposing yourself to judging looks you might otherwise get from people in your circle.

YES!!!

If you ever feel so bad that you think you want to take your own life, or hurt yourself, you need to tell someone who cares about you.

Somewhere, someone would be tremendously hurt if you weren't around. No matter what, you need to start telling people how you feel, instead of internalizing your thoughts and feelings.

Every negative feeling or emotion, every pain or hurt that you feel, is a temporary feeling, just for a moment in time. Death is a permanent condition. No more thoughts, no more feelings, no more talking ot the ones that you love, no more spending time with the people that you care about. It's permanent.

Why would you seek a permanent solution to a problem that is temporary? You are worth more than that. You are absolutely important to somebody. You are important enough for me to write this to you, and we've never met.

Sit down with your family, and explain to them how you feel, what is making you feel so hopeless. If, for some odd reason, they don't take you seriously, talk to someone else. Keep talking until somebody takes the time to hear how you feel.

Please take care of yourself.

I think That if you almost killed your self on purpose than you should talk to somebody. I know that it would seem weird but it could save your life.

YES. You must! If you hide it from them, then things won't get any better. It won't be easy, but it's way better than trying to kill yourself again and succeeding on it. I saw a lady who had lost her child b/c the child committed suicide. The lady was really upset about it. Your parents would feel upset too if they lost you.

You should tell them NOW. Please don't wait any longer!!

YES!!

You need to talk to people about this. Your parents, your friends, a councillor or therapist. You need to make sure that all the people who care about you know that there is a problem and that you need their help.

You are much to special to the people you know to lose, please don't do anything to hurt yourself.
