Ur dad is wrong, not you. He should respect that you aren't that athletic, i'm not athletic, and I'd hate to be pushed to do stuff that I don't enjoy.

You need to sit with your dad and be honest. A lot of fathers have visions for their sons, especially those who are sort of living their past wishes through their kids. Some dads, too, are competitive with each other, and maybe he sees his friends' kids succeeding in sports and wants the same for his own. You shouldn't let tension mount. Just tell him that you aren't happy and ask him what he wants of you. He might not even realize that you're having a rough time.

sweetie, your dad is wrong for pushing you to be something that he wants you to be, and not letting you choose what you want to do. I know a lot of parents do the same thing your dad is doing, but it doesn't make it right. it just makes you miserable because you're doing doing it for the wrong reason.
can you talk to your dad? will he listen to you? if not, can you talk to your mom?
either way, I just want you to know that you have no reason to feel guilty about this. and not everyone wants to be an athlete.

Take martial arts. It's mental, with a lot of discipline, along with physical. It will be something you can do the rest of your life, and builds confidence...not to mention self-defense.
