Well what I do is I go buy scratch off Lottery Tickets and go to bank and try to get "shiny pennies" and sometimes I ask bank for money envelopes (they are free) or I might go buy a box of christmas cards and tape the penny "head side up for luck" outside envelope...I been doing this for 6 years now..It has become a tradition, My family aren't big on buying lottery tickets, they never scratched a ticket until i started this...so they have a blast scratching the tickets...It's cheap...they love it and hopefully one of them will hit it big this year....as for the kids in the family, i usually get them a book and a toy nothing too expensive...

You can now buy Visa "gift cards" where people can spend them anywhere. I would do that....one stop shopping, probably at the bank! Drawback: everyone knows exactly what you spend on them.
