Family - August 2006

My sister is dating this boy named Kenneth and they keep beaking up. They argue all the time, they don't trust each other... their getting on my nerves. She'll walk around the house on the phone with him argueing and she'll have him on speakerphone. I hear both ends of the conversation and all I wanna do I crawl into my little corner and tune everything out. I've told her over and over again that they don't need to be together and if they were going to fight, do it away from me, that I didn't wanna hear it. She'll always try to drag me in and get me to take her side and I'll say "I don't want **** to do with it". All this drama is stressing me out and they wake me up at night from the yelling and my parents have tried talking to her and telling her to calm down and let me sleep... she doesn't listen. What can I do?

My parents can't help, but my Grandma can (financially) without it affecting her standard of living. I don't think I'll need much help, but if I don't get help I won't be able to afford any type of housing. Sometimes my Grandma is in a mood to help, other times she's not. Should I even ask? A friend suggested I should bring up the topic and try to get her to suggest that she help. I don't know if I want to manipulate like that.

My husband and I want to go out tonight for my b-day.its next saturday but i have to work. Our 7 yr old is crying begging us not to go.we hardly go out.And we always do things with them.I will bad if i go.Ifeel im choosing to go out over my daughter. Am i wrong if i hate my dad because when I was little he was abusive?I grew up with my mom and dad fighting and threating to kill each other.My dad has pulled a gun to my head because i allways protected my mom.I saved my moms life countless times.I have had beer poured on me countless times I remember one night my dad was mad and pulled the meter box off the side of the house and mom thought he left, So then mom went out to put it back and my dad was draging her to it and it would of killed her right there.Soo i seen him dragging her and ran out screaming stop. Then when my dad and mom were going throgh there divorice he took me out and told me to dig for gold, well i was 6 and i started digging and he did to. But come to find out i was diging my own grave. He was going to shoot me and my mom and take my older brothers and say mom ran off with me.So am I wrong if i hate my own dad?

Sure everyone likes to think thier kid is smart, nice, etc. etc. but lets face it not everyone is smart, naturally or otherwise....what do you do when you realize that your kid is just plan stupid and probably never will "get it"

i am beginning to realize i have depression. i want to go get help. but before i do that i need to tell my husband. how can i get him to understand it is NOT his fault? i've tried talking to him before but he still couldn't get it. please someone help before i am lost forever.

My brothers girlfriend and I have been good friends for like 4 years.She is 19 and i am 14, well she and my brother just moved out and moved right next door.She had been drinking one night and came over to fight with me.I didn't want to fight with her but she just would't stop cusing at me so i called her a *****. then she told me to call her a ***** to her face so i did and she shoved me so i knocked her out the door and beat her up pretty good.But when my mom pulled me off her she got up and ran to her yard and yelled the whole family was not allowed at her house and she won't let my brother come over unless they need something.This really hurts my mom and it hurts me to.I was just getting into a good relationship with my dad after 14 years and now he won't take the time to listen me he just beleaves my brother.Should i be the bigger person and appolagise or just live this out?

My aunt is very hard-headed and she's held a grudge on my mom for 6 years now, just because my mom and dad got divorced, she was mad. She just won't let it go. And since my aunt doesn't like my mom, my mom goes along w/ her and is mean just as much.
my aunt pretty much hates the world, she talks about everyone. I just don't know what to do. She flips my mom off when she's driving down the highway & she talks about my mom to me & I just don't know what to do.

I'm so confused..please help me.

I have my granddaughter all weekend and she just fell asleep in my arms and it is the most wonderful feeling in the world. She's taking her "power nap" only though. Her 2 hour one was earlier. Are there any other grandparents (and yes, I'm YOUNG - regarless kids of what you may think). Anyway, aren't grandchildren like the most awesome people?????? Am I right? I am SO happy when she's around. I have a grandson on the way too and it will be so much fun..........:)

It used to be the perfect little thing it would clean up after me and serve me meals and clean up after the kids..Now she does not want to do anything around the house and saying that her mother was right about me..But i told It that It knew what she was getting into when I acquired her..So how do I fix her? My sister is 2 yrs. older than me. She is an alcoholic and I'm positive she is on hard drugs as well. She has been arrested for drunk driving and she has 2 kids. Her husband is an a--hole and they refuse to split up, and yet they have both told me they hate there marriage. My concern is for these kids, I want them to live with me abut I don't know how to go about this.
