There are many groups that are gutting homes for free, there are help wanted signs all over the city, there are too many free ways for you to get help. If you haven't managed to recover your life yet, there's something more than just Katrina-related issues wrong with you. Everyone I know was affected by Katrina, lost everything, and still they have the mental capacity to get on with their lives. Help is out there. Go to nola.com or craigslist new orleans and see all the help just waiting for you to ask for it.
