Family - August 2006

I am an adult survivor of child abuse and need to find a support group soon. I don't have insurance and would love to get counseling from a therapist.
I live in Burlington County NJ. Any ideas where to start?

I feel the need to let her know why I hate him so much, but I don't want her to think I'm "damaged goods" or suffer from mal-effects, when, in reality, I've been fortunate to cope and heal over the years (aside from anger toward him). What should I do?

She has mastered everything from ABCs to numbers, she can even count to five in spanish. I'm very proud of her! I'm just worried cause I can't get her to stop wetting the bed. I get her out of bed at night to use the bathroom but in the morning when she awakes instead of getting up using the bathroom she use it on her self. She has been potty trained since she was two but she will sometimes sit around and pee on herself. What should I do?

Ok,my Sister went 2 Mexico 4 like 4 months 2 visit family,and I talked 2 her on the phone and she sound totally changed! In a bad way!I'm so scared that she's gonna be this freak! She's all into "Cumbias" but I'm like the total opposite!I like rock, and I'm a total Punk-rocker, and I take on more of my Dads German side(tall light/golden hair. I'm afraid she'll be so much more different. Suggestions,advice?

My boyfriend was born in Germany to U.S. parents His dad was in the Air Force. Now at 41 he needs a birth certificate that says he was born in Germany while his family was there. That or a pass port. His birth certificate is legal and he doesn't remember ever getting a pass port. His family came back to the states when he was 5 or 6. If anyone can help I'd be greatfull.

I am a single 23 year old male living alone in an apartment. Work in the morning and school at night. At current, I spend about $100 a week on food, not counting money spent on lunch at work. Never had much guidance on how to survive alone so please share your thoughts. How much do you and your family get by on a monthly basis and what's your budget? I don't want to be a dumb a.ss spending more than others but I don't want to deprive myself beyond others as well, so what's the average monthly budget people spend on food. Single mothers out there! Hi, can you help me with this one?? My husband has 2 kids (girls) from a previous relationship. He has never known these kids. He invited them over for the weekend. I was ok with that. We have 2 kids of our own. He got over excited meeting these kids. He start to by them everything they wanted. He invited them every weekend.. (he works weekend they would me with me most of the time) I had a chance to build a strong relationship with the girls. Now my husband's thrill is gone because they are always asking for material things and dont treat him as a father, just a father bank. He stopped them from coming over anymore and calling. He changed the phone no#. I got used to the the kids. What should I do I feel something is missing now.

ok my grandma made this conversational joke to me. before i left at a birthday part last night. she said i bet you will go to sleep in the car on the way home i said no i never get tired until real late. when i was getting ready to go in the car i said im going to party until 3 clock wich was a joke i normally go to bed at 1:30 exept for weekends then its 3. its still summer. she said you better go to bed before 3 clock. i got so stressed i talk to my parent they told me she was just having fun with me and that i shouldint have tooken this seriouley and i have to let it go. and my mom told me that you can stay up as late as you want your grandma dosent own you. should i let this go and forgive her please know i respect her and love her. i need help can i move on or stress more. also im 15 years old.

A little background info. Any time, in my life that I have ever made a friend, had a boyfriend, or developed any sort of relationship with another person, my mother has always seemed to "win them over". I know this sounds really childish, but it's so true. She buys them outrageous things or sucks up to them beyond belief until she has them tell her every move I make. Now that I'm older, and I don't have to bring these people to her house, she has found a new way of tormenting me. For the last three years I haven't been invited to family events except for usual holidays, but I'm sure that's next. When I confronted finally confronted her, she said I have no right to be upset. Should I just give up?

it was a very very emotional year of her fighting cancer. she left behind her parents, 5 siblings, and a bunch of nieces and nephews she was a second mother to. she was my mothers sister.. her best friend, and when my mom cries about it, i get mad. i feel bad, but i just get so ticked off when i see her crying about it. Why does it make me so mad? does it make me a bad person? i dont know what to do about it and i feel horrible.

My mom and dad have to go drop off my sister at college. They were going to leave my sister and I at home for 2 days. She wants to know if its safe. She doesn't want to get punished legally. Can someone help me? Me and my sister ae 15 and 16 our birthdays are in 2/3 months
