My son just turned 16 he has his drivers license. He has a truck, that he pays his own insurance on. He has a job, and now he wants to buy a motorcycle. I ride, myself, and have for years. However, as a mother, I really don't know that he's ready to head out on the busy streets and highways on a motorcycle. Any thoughts?? How would you approach this??

He is 5 years old and he is going to school He puts finger on his mouth only in home and that too when he feels sleepy or when he is alone watching Tv.He has this habit from his birth and moreover he is having congenital heart condition and because of that he underwent 2 surgery.During the period of hospitalisation he felt very comfortable by putting his finger in the mouth and he felt like secured without me(mother).so i also allowed him to put but now he is not leaving that habit.Please help me.

why do so many people stay stuck on the the black and white issue we all have to live in this world together so why keep hateing one another? life is to short for the dumb sh** i grew up around nothing but blacks and mexicans and i got along good with them. but i also have alot of white friends to. what is the bigg deal bout what race u are who why is it so important that u hang with ur own race?

i am 27 and have been on my own since i was 18. the bills are piling up, i don't love my job and want some time to think about what to do with my life, and live in an area where good jobs are hard to find. do i stick it out to be independent and have my own life or do i move back in with my parent's for a year and save money? has anyone done this and not been miserable?

I am not sure what to do. My 8-year-old sister is absolutely insane and the most difficult child that ever existed that doesn't qualify to go under mediciation for you know... being crazy. Her difficulties basically started as young as when she was three, in grade 1 she was supended like 10 times from school, the doctor says she -might- get better, but she seems to just get worse. I think though, that she's not just crazy, but really spoiled too. She throws horrible tantrums and we live in an apt. building, our neighbours have knocked on our doors and walls, and quite frankly I am embarrassed to go out. She just doesn't seem to care or understand. Sometimes I can't help but wish her voicebox would somehow disappear and she'd stop hitting and being so abusive and disgusting...

i started working this summer and when school started mon the 14th, i realized that i couldn't handle school, my extra curriculars and work so i gave them my two week notice. my father wanted me to quit Debate bc it took up too much of my time. when i told him i was thinking about joining FCCLA he thought it was a good idea. he is now telling me that i must work and to find a way around my schedule. Is that legal?

oky my daughter is 8 she has been to school now for a week school just started she is very timid shy person whos feelings are easily hurt, well the teacher asked them to write down notes but she made a mistake and wrote her notes under the wrong column and she said her teacher yelled at her for doing it. I felt that all children make mistakes and she has only been in school for a week learning and adjusting to new things, why come she couldnt have got on her level and just said to her in a calm voice this isnt under the right column why scream at her for something this small. I dont want to seem like the overly concerned mom about every little thing but do you think i should speak with her about the tone she used with my daughter.

i have two sisters who have children and are both making a big mess of there lives right now, i seem to be trying to help them all the time.
They both have children and i have four of my own, all they seem to care about is themselves, one is about to put two of her children in care because they are hard work, but "keep" the other little girl who is easier! She is messed up and wants to party all the time she is on drugs too.
The other got married, and left her husband after only 3 months cos she was having an affair with his uncle(even before the wedding!).
I am always being asked to have the kids overnight, and i have to admit i am getting fed up now.

I love my neices and nephews but i cannot permanently babysit while they party, my sisters are always negative, foul- mouthed, and show respect and love for noone.
Our mum left for australia a few years ago and our dad died, so there is no one else to help.
I do love my sisters, but i just worry all the time.
