Too bloody right they do.
I had to have a leg amputated last week and I told the surgeon;
"You can shove that morphine suppository up your @rse, get my Mam in here with a couple of magic kisses"
My wife's work to an extent, she gently blows on it too, which is nice (no nothing like 'that') but they're only really magic when they come from your mother.

Yes I feel kisses are about magic and love. When people really care about someone they express their love by kissing. Kissing is considered as magic because it can light up someones life within a few seconds. My children love kisses. If you could only see their faces when their Dad gives them a kiss. Yes, Yes, kisses are magic!!!

Magic kisses are the best in the world. They can cure anything and make you feel loved. My grandchildren send me magic kisses over the webcam from New Zealand.
PS I must admit that real kisses from them are better..........

Of course they work, I can still feel the ones my mam gave me when I hurt myself, I saved them all up in my pocket and I take them out one at once, I have to be careful not to use them up too quick as mam isn't here anymore and I need to keep those magic kisses till I see her again one day.

Yes. Its psychological as the child believes a parent as all powerful and helps heal the pain. Its to do with the love between the parent and the child

I like eskimo kisses, they're special.
And in actually answering your question, I think it's a mental thing, like knowing someone cares for you, or that most likely your Mommy wants you to feel better.
