My boyfriend was born in Germany to U.S. parents His dad was in the Air Force. Now at 41 he needs a birth certificate that says he was born in Germany while his family was there. That or a pass port. His birth certificate is legal and he doesn't remember ever getting a pass port. His family came back to the states when he was 5 or 6. If anyone can help I'd be greatfull.

If he was born overseas to US parents, he still would have had to have been registered with the US State Department--the embassies handle that sort of thing. check with the US State Dept website (most likely something like state.us.gov) and somewhere in there it should have a link to US vital records for children born abroad to US parents.

Good luck!

Birth certificates are not issued by the U.S. Air Force. You have to contact the American consulate in Germany.
