I mean all these anti smokers, and crying about lung cancer and smoking sucks, well ya know they dont know that the enjoyment we get from smoking is worth it...so go cry to someone who cares

I just want to know why they care that we smoke. Like Y-not for example, why does he even bother to say that he thinks that we are stupid. They could paint the box black and put a skull and cross bones on it and make the brand name cancer and I would not care. I can promise you I will not cry later on in life when I have health problems due to smoking, so I don't want to hear peoples anti-smoking crap now. The only person I tolerate it from is my mom, because she is entitled to say what she wants.
I smoke outside so it is not like I am taking anyone down with me.

I'm a non-smoker, but have a lot of friends who do smoke and I think what most non-smokers don't understand is that it's addicting to smokers. People who smoke aren't typically naive enough to not know they could get lung cancer and all that. I know that for some of my friends it helps them not to be depressed, or to help puff off anger or something like that. Everyone has the right to do what they want, so people shouldn't judge just by what they see :)

Actually as a former (thank goodness) smoker, I say it is you who needs to go cry to somebody else. Laws will keep getting passed that will only allow you to smoke pretty soon in your own stinky dwelling.
I hope you try some of the new ideas for quitting smoking as the ones you may or may not have tried in the pass obviously did not work.
Also, you should try to work on your ignorance. I would say at this point, smoking is the least of your problems. Take care.

I am a smoker. And I think that non-smokers do realize that we know that it is bad for us. I think that from their prospective, they just can't understand why we continue to smoke when we know the risks. This is just an obvious risk to them. But how many non-smokers are having unprotected sex or some other risky behavior? I mean, is it better to die from lung cancer or AIDS?

I just think that non-smokers should be respected. If they don't want you smoking around them...don't. But they shouldn't judge us simply because they can SEE our risky behavior.

well...it's hard to say if smokers know it's bad for them. I mean, you've got to be ignorant to continue to poision yourself, not to mention the people around you. If I had $1 for every time I entered a public place and was forced to breathe second-hand smoke, I'd be wealthy!! I don't think people should be allowed to smoke within 200 feet of a public place.

To answer your question....
I'd say they must not know that we already know that it is bad for us because they keep telling us that it is. They sure do enjoy everything that the cigarette taxes pay for though! I don't know what thier problem is. They might not smoke but they are probably riding thier couches everynight eating a bag of M&Ms or sucking down a 12 pack. Either way, they can get bent.

well people that smoke might know the bad effects but they still do it, what they dont know is how fast the effects are going to take action. By the time u know it you might be suffering and u r going to start regreting . And we dont cry about it, well I dont if u dont care about ur health that is pretty sad, if u dont care and u keep on smoking that shows us the non smokers the kind of love u feel for ur selfs.

As long as you don't subject others to 2nd hand smoke, I say why waste our breath on people who obviously are addicted. All I have to say is I watched both of my parents die due to smoking and it obviously must have been worth it to leave their family at an earlier age than needed to be. All I can say though, it is an ugly & painful way to die....no amount of enjoying smoking would have that kind of hold over me. But like you said...Who Cares???

I'm a non smoker..not because I believe it's wrong...because I am allergic to smoke....but all this smoking will kill you jazz is just a bunch of smoke...so to say.

Seriously if second hand smoke kills as many and as ofen as they claim how do they explain me being alive or my mom, or my other relatives who lived for 40 years with smokers...who mind you didn't step out to smoke....we're all healthy....but they say according to the statistic we should be dead.

Smoke Em' if ya got Em'
