My friend's was: always tell your child how you expect them to behave before you go out, discuss the situation with them, explain. And then if necessary, talk it through afterwards, applying rewards/punishments/praise as necessary.

my sister has serious problem , she wants to be a controlling wife she is 2 months pregnant and her and her husband bump heads all the time they really get into deep arguments and sometimes it gets physical. my brother in law has some fault in this but mostly is on her . when he trys to joke with her she takes everything seriously and she is allways checking up on him he has to tell her what he does who he calls and trys to be to controlling and she wont let him go out by him with my husband for guy time so me and her can go out shopping together and she said no. i mean she is my sister in all but she is to overprotective and takes everything seriuosly and i think that she is to controlling what adive can you guys give me so i can tell her.

I'm not asking step mothers because I think women find it easier to love children.....
Step dads, do you love your wife's children like they're your own? If so, is this something that developed over time? Did you/Are you struggling with that? do you just "like them"? Explain your situation.

i'm 23 and i stay @ home with my parents. i moved back in when my mom had a stroke which caused her to stop working. my father barely works either. i consider myself to be a real hustler because the mortage,lights,cable..etc. has to be paid and it seems like i'm the only one paying. the thing is that i'm a waitress...making less than 2.50 an hour/2-4 days a week and the tips arent that great...my parents got into a verbal fight today and i overheard my mother say that she couldnt depend on us because we arent bringing in enough money. as long as the bills get paid, it shouldnt matter how much money comes in ..right??? dont get me wrong..i love my mom w/ all my soul, she's been there 4 me when i had no1...but that statement kinda pissed me off. am i wrong???

He will stay awake until later than 3am sometimes, are rarely fall asleep before midnight. This is even when he has to get up at 6am to go to school. He is ADHD and takes medication (rydlynn), but will not go to sleep no matter what. Any suggestions?

When we first started dating he was hot. He was in shape, and made an effort to look and smell good. Now he's getting a beer gut; so I suggested drinking wine at night instead of beer. It only worked for a little while. Like a week! His breath is always really bad. I suspect he is not using mouth wash or something. It's hard for me to get in the mood for him because he's just yucky. I'm the same size as I was when we meet. I make an effort to uphold my physical appearance and hygiene. I don't want to be mean or hurt his feelings, but I really need to find a way to tell him to buck up. Don't let it all go just because your comfortably married. I know he would freak out If I started gaining wait and was nasty all the time. And Yes I love him dearly. But I don't want to have sex with him like this. Does anyone understand, and have any advice. PLEASE

WHILE SHE WAS ARESTED HIM AND HIS PARENT WENT AND FILED FOR FULL CUSTODY, HIS PARENT JUST MEET THE KIDS NEVER WANTED ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE KIDS UNTIL THEY NEEDED MONEY, THE FATHER IS NOT RAISING THEM AS THE COURT THINK HE IS A DRUNK AND HIS PARENT JUST WANT HER TWINS TO RAISE AS THERE OWN, THEY WILL NOT EVEN ALLOW HER TO SEE HER CHILDREN AND TRIED TO HAVE HER ARESTED FOR VISITING THEM AT HER HOUSE FOR TRESPASSING BUT IT WAS THROWN OUT BEFORE IT EVEN HIT THE REAL CRIMINAL COURT BY A JUDGE, WHAT CAN SHE DO TO GET HER CHILDREN BACK?? IT FEELS LIKE WE ARE LIVING IN THE 1900'S OR SOMETHING?? SHE IS LOW INCOME THEY ARE TOO BUT THE LAWYER THEY GAVE HER IS FREINDS WITH HIS LAWYER AND TRIED TO GET HER TO GIVE HIM CUSTODY,BUT ITS REALLY HIS PARENT.HIS PARENTS ARE REALLY EVIL,THEY JUST MEET THE KIDS LAST SUMMER MY MOM PROVIDED FOR THEM SINCE DAY ONE THEY SHOWED UP WITH THERE SON AND THE COPS AND REMOVED THEM FROM HER HOME WHEN MY SISTER WAS ARESTED, HE HAS BEEN JAILED SEVERAL TIMES.

this is an absolute serious question ... and of course we know that adoption is giving an unwanted child a chance to grow up in a good and stable enviroment ... my husband and I are seriously thinking about adoption and we'd like to know as much as we possibly can about this subject ... any wise insight is greatly appreciated!

i know there are many fat kids that get adopted but i never see them or hear about them.
when you tell someone that helping, adopting, fostering a fat kid i always hear that it is crazy.
i see them get teased, bullied, made to look goofy in movies with their clothing, etc., i think i would be able to help them. are there any careers, jobs out there?

a 13 yo girl. Im good girl, my grades atre great, but sometimes I mess up. Sometimes I rebel against my parents especially my mom. She forces me to wear bras acording to m y breasts and I dont like them. I wanna wear other bras but mom is stubborn. We had several arguments over this I got grounded a few times. yesterday I really lost my temper and messed up. I got a pair of scissors and in front my mom cut up 3 of the bras she gave me, destroyed them completely. I know this was tupid. I apologized but my mom got REALLY mad at me. Punishment: She took me to a lingerie store and got me 2 of those bras called long line that covers all of your torso and have 10 hooks in the back. She also got me a shapeawer that covers all of your body; All of them made of very thich material. I'll have to wear them till December, EVRYDAY and they are kinda uncomfortable, MUCH worse than my other bras. I gotta wear all the time, except in bed. Dont you agree this punishment is too harsh and unfair?

He is a good kid at heart, however, he is very stubborn, argumentative and has a hard time following rules. And when he is punished he can't stick to his punishment.
What would be good punishment? How do i nip this in the bud?

You see my mom has always been very negative towards me since I got into junior high school it only got worse in high school. She even waited until the day of my high school graduation to say that she wasn't going to go to my garaduation and smiled about it. To this very day we don't get along and I just wish she would just tell me why she's acting this way. On top of all that I get nothing but let downs and insults fom her. When I was younger she told me she hated me ans spit me in my face and said that I was nothing like her. I always thought that being your own person was a good thing right? Oh I am heavy right now but I'm working on it and I come to find out that she was going around saying that I was as big as a house and that I was disgusting. . All she ever does is hurt me with insults and now that she thinner than me she purposely flaunts it in front of me just to rub it in my face that she looks better than me. If I confront her with all this she'll that I direspected her.
