Dont tallk, ask questions. Read the Dale Carnigie book, How to win friends and Influence people. I think it is great to learn to be better in social situations. Good luck.

I have that same problem, but I usually sit and stare at the other person until they get freaked out and leave. -but I don't suggest you take that approach. Awkward silences make the situation a whole lot worse, so just Maybe starting off with some general topics like: What do you do? What are you in to? So, How's Life?, or the ever-so-popular, Tell, me about your day. Then you can comment on whatever they say.

First, smile. It will help you to relax. Then think of questions that might help generate conversation. Start with small things to see what you might have in common. What do you do? What did your parents do? What is the most interesting place you've ever been? Then flow with the conversation. Don't try to think too far ahead, just stay in the moment and everything will be fine.
