My friends brother is dating a woman who the family barely knows. They've met her only twice for periods of about 10 minutes. Her brother is rarely around since he has been with this woman. (All of the people in this story are in their 30's) But, in years past my friend and her brother have been very close. My friend hasn't dated anyone in about 1 1/2 years. She met a man that was a true gentleman. He was kind and attentive. She really likes him. They have not been on a date. They met over the weekend and have felt silly talking on the phone so much. She said she feels like she is in high school. She can't stop smiling. But, while they were talking she discovered that the man she met and felt sparks for was the exboyfriend of her brother's current girlfriend. It wasn't an issue to her until she told her brother who she met and he flipped out and acted like she was doing something terrible. He even said he'd make the appt. for the Jerry Springer show. What should she do?

The two oldest boys think they are so gangsta that I can't even stand to talk to them and the younger one is trying to be gangsta but ends up getting his *** whupped.

l was 19 when l stared seeing a 30 year old, my first real boyfriend.
My floks were ok about it until the day l said l may stay with him for the weekend, they banned me from ever doing so or going on holidays together, as of then they never liked him.
He came from a good family and had his own business and place so it wasnt like he was just some wierdo prying on kids as l had originally said l was 21!
We lasted 10 months as he said being with me was to hard cos of my parents.
Do u think the way my parents behaved was something u would do or were they a bit harsh?
They said l had to move out if l carried on with him and he didnt want me staying with him, so l blame myself for us splitting cos maybe l should have got my own place, but l coludnt really affored it!
Wen l asked do u see us together this time next year, he said"l really don't know" that was kind of why l didnt want to risk moving out for someone who may not want me next month anyway!

How do you motivate a 12-year old to do well in his studies? My brother is smart but he's just lazy. And he never deliver his promises. His final exams are around the corner and he still hangs out with his schoolmates after school. He's not serious about his schoolwork.

What can I do to motivate him to do well? My parents aren't strict with him. I've tried everything I could to help him but he isn't trying hard himself

She's getting married in January, and I'm a bit of a nervous flyer, but I really want to go. My youngest is a real handful. My husband is good with the kids, but sometimes gets a little uptight. I wonder if I'm being irresponsible and would appreciate any input. Thanks.

All 3 of us got pregnant on the same month( Not planned for me), we are all on mat leave. I have known one for 10 years the other for 4 years both just met around a year ago. We all have children same age, my friends live close with no car. I live 10 min drive with car but no one makes an effort to see me. I don't know if its convienent for them to be friends. Have issues with one more than the other since the one doesn't even call unless she needs something (Amy). Expressed my concern to both of them but amy stopped taking to me. Cindy my friend encouraged ,me to to amy to. I really upset since amy and I were close before I encouraged her to move into my city.

Should we change ourselves just because some one said that they are not happy with the way we are? I am not talking about being an alcoholic, drug user and extremities, but just a simple Me.

A lot of people are driven by their family, children, wives/husbands, desire to succeed. Or to simply live by the motto "if you don't work, you don't eat" What motivates you to get up in the morning?

I have a relative, and boy is he arrogant he thinks he knows it all, just because he has a good education, (well we all in the family had good educations), but he is something else, if you give him your opinion on something automatically he has to be right, and no matter how you try to persuade him, he wont budge on his decision, he has a really good job and thinks he's better than anyone else...this situation gets so bad sometimes it's even to the point where if he's wrong he still refuses to back down and accept the truth....oh he's such hard work, and so conceited, have any of you out there experienced anyone like this who is a complete nightmare? let me know.

your hadn't seen members of your family which you were close to for a long time, and your mum had stopped you from contacting them. I've recently got in contact with them, and mum is stopping me from going out anywhere on case i try to see them, contact them. THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG! She keeps me indoors and looking after my brother whilst she's at work in order to keep our house.

Is it selfish if i move away with the family i have missed for such a long time?

please answer and tell me what you would do in my situation!

thank you
