Wow. It looks like that stat might be pretty close eh? It appears most people do want only two. We have a fair amount of kids in our family and I think it's great. I come from a family of 3 kids as does hubby. We have 4 kids and each of my siblings have 3. Each of hubby's siblings have 4. Family get togethers are great fun. There's always a cousin to play with. And, years (many, many years I hope) down the road when all us adults start to die off, the kids will always have each other. Family is so important. The greatest gift you can give your kids (other than your undying, unconditional love) is family! Kids are the future, have what you can handle and raise them well. I think that many people make their choice to have two due to financial and time considerations. Everyone, well most people want to have ample quality time to raise their children and enough of the green stuff to support them properly and provide for their futures. If you have more children than your abilities (financial, mental and emotional), that could affect the quality of the children's upbringing. Have as many as you can handle and support and then raise them well.

90% of people may say and want that but don't expect that! I said the same thing in high school and during my first year of marriage and I have 4 kids and a step daughter the only way to see to it that you only have two kids is to get fixed after you have your second one.

i had 7 but that was to many... but only 4 our living now.. i think a boy and a girl would be nice to have.. i had all boys .. i wanted a girl so bad.. my mom had 7 girls and 1 boy.. i think big families are good at times but it is so hard to get them the things they need.. i really think two or three kids is the most a person should have...but it is up to the own individual families...it is hard to get the good things a child deserves when they have to many children...i have one son who has three children and he does pretty good with his children but he works long and hard.. one has three children and they are younger and they get what they need but my son and his wife were into some trouble.. another son has three and he does not have them,, but i know one of them kids is doing well with her mom...i think when you have boys too and the mom gets custudy it hurts the grandmother so much... well i do not think you want the life history here..so i really think 3 is a good number and enough to have.. unless you can have a boy and girl right off the bat..

We originally wanted 4, but since we aren't going to be starting our family until my wife is 31/32 area, and at 35 risks of birth defects increase a lot, we are only expecting to have two or even one.

I have 1 already, how many more I have depends on what lies in the future. I would like to get married to someone who wants a family, and decide from there.
But I have my one, so if the right man never comes along, I'm not too worried about it.

Well I want kind of a lot of kids because I always (and still do) wish there were more kids in my family. Like I think 6 kids will suit me well. Hopefully one set of identical twins (boys or girls) in the six of them.

I have two, both from a past relationship.
Before I'd had them, I only wanted two. But my ex basically left me to be pregnant by myself both times.... So I feel like I missed out on the things that you are supposed to share with someone..So.. I want one more

I want ZERO kids. The obligations, responsibilities, costs and emotional drain far outweigh any benefits.
