Family - July 2006

My husband builds foundations, and the weather kicks his butt. But I go to school 3 nights a week, and work on the weekends, while raising 2 girls. I need him to pitch in more but, he is always soo tired. Any Ideas on how to keep him alert enough to watch our kids?

I am devorced 3 years now. That didn't seem to effect them. Their dad was never home. But he has moved out of state at a weeks notice and now she is having issues going anywhere without me. even grandmas where she loves to go. She said shes afraid Im not doing to come pick her up. what can i do. She feels very loved. What is the issue. Im so sad for her, please give me some ideas

my daughter told me she was dating a 41 years old man. She wasn't ready to tell her father. I told him so that he wouldn't be shocked when she told him. I asked him not to say any thing. He promised me that he would wait until she tells him. I told him I would continue to talk to her to hlep her figure out if she wanted to be with this man. Oh she is 23. You guess it he asked her about it.
. My daughter and I were just beginning to rebuild our relationship. Now she want talk to me. Do you think i should have kept it to myself and let him find it out himself?

There are families where the husband never bothers to help the wife in the household chores, though at the same time the wife is also earning as worker outside home. Husband thinks it is the sole responsibility of the wife to take charge of the household chores. This is true to Asian families.

i know its not right but she's is not the "angel" 11 year old i try my best to cut down on mtv bet and other programs that encourages sex.basically no cable anymore. she doesnt see me do it . . i dont know. i really feel like giving up on her. how can i help this girl. anyone talking to her goes one ear out the other.i tried beating her but she go back after a month

My brother died in July of 2000 a month after him and his wife had a baby boy. Its been six years and sometimes I just cant seem to get over the fact that he is gone. I had just moved in with him to help out him and his wife and we were just getting closer.It seems even harder now because I just had a baby in Sept. 2005 and it kills me that my brother isnt here to see him.
Will I ever get over the fact that my brother isnt coming back?

My grandma had eye surgery a week ago and needs help getting around and going to the doctor. My mom and her sisters are doing everything they can to help her, but my uncle and his kids (16 & 20 year olds) hardly ever go. My mom is annoyed with him, but I think that if we are going enough it shouldn't matter. It is kinda hard though: my sister, younger cousin and I have been taking turns sleeping over when my two other cousins can help us out. Is it rude or impolite to ask them to help out more?

my mom is unhappy all the time. i feel like i am taking the blame for all of her stress and unhappyness. she does not respect me and even flat out called me stupid. i am not happy and am quite tired of hating myself and crying. i know my dad (who i deeply love) has no control over this and is trying quite hard to make me feel loved. it is not working because i am being called a "selfish, self absorbed brat" and feeling bad a lot more now than ever. am i just over reacting? am i a brat? is it my fault? i dont know where to go or what to do? please be honest.

so my mom just had a baby wth my step dad. sometimes me and my brother get him mad alot so you can say were not close. but ever since they had the baby my step dad have been treating us like crap not like abandonig but like leaving us out. usually when hes mad we just leave him alone and when he's in a good mood we mess around with him bt its really hard to talk to him cause he barely listen its just always all about him. My mother, who is 54, has become a 24 year old again. Her and my father divorced 10 years ago and he is remarried, something I think she resents. She has been putting her profile on websites like yahoo personals, Match.com and others like those. This is not the problem. Problem is she is meeting guy after guy on line and not getting to know them very well before she agrees to meet them and even bring them back home with her. I think this is dangerous especially since one guy drove 300 miles to have sex with her. She is dating 3-4 guys a week and having sex with 2-3 guys a week. I am afraid that she is going to get a bad reputation with her friends and neighbors, get raped or attacked, catch a disease like AIDS or worse. I have given my "daughterly" advice but she says that she will not be an old granny knitting in a rocking chair with her cat on her lap. HELP!!!

My parents will not let me move out of their house because they are christians and fear that I will head in the wrong direction without them around. I am an intelligent woman. I get good grades and I get along with a lot of people. How do I convince them to let me move out. I don't have much time because they are planning to get out of state in less than a year from now. I kind of want responses from people who went throughthe same situation.
