My mom told me the same thing... "you can't move out".... I was 23 years old. I had a job and a car so I started getting things together to move out, found an apartment and left. She didn't like it, she probably still doesn't like it 3 years later. The one thing you need to understand is most the time parents don't like to admit their child has grown up.
Do what you need to do for yourself, just be prepared to stand on your own.

How old are you? You didnt mention that, If your over 18 you can leave at any point in time. I too was in that situation and it lasted all about 3 months before i got a job saved and moved out on my own. You will never learn about life and what it really is staying under your parents wing. Explain to them that you need to live your life , and cant be sheltered by them forever, let you make your mistakes, and learn from them, its the only way to make u a better person :-)
Hope I helped!

i can relate to your question. My parents are christian as well and I"m trying to move out of their house since I already graduated from college. They won't let me move out until I find a job. It's like I can't enjoy life. I have no friends to hang out with and I live in a very small and boring town.

well the good grades thing tells me you are not of legal age to move out, if they are moving out of state and you want to like finish your last year in school or something like that see if they would let you stay with a family friend or a family member so you can stay at your old school, if not I guess to bad start packing your bags your moving.

What do you mean, "let" you?
You can move out if you're of age, have a means of supporting yourself, and are physically capable of removing your property from the home.
If they won't let you come back for it, you can have the police escort you to collect your things.

~*~ if you are over 18, you should be able to move out of their house without consent.. If you are of age, do what you think is right.. If you are a minor, you need to listen to your parents and do what they say.. After all they know best..~*~

If you're over 18, then they can't not let you move out because you're legally an adult. But if you have problems with them and you can support yourself, you can ask for emancipation.

How old are you? If you are underage I guess you don't have much choice. If you are of age, then the choice is all yours if you have your own job. Respecting your parents wishes is a good thing, but you have to be your own person.

How old are you?
I don't advocate leaving home before having finished high school, but I left home a week after my sixteenth birthday and never looked back.
