I am an only child.
Be glad you have a sibling. Someday when you are older you will be glad. Try to like each other now and make some good memories.

Hate is a really strong word. Throw up a little in my mouth when I think of her is more accurate. I have 2 little sisters. I've always been closer to the older one and hated the youngest. I took the older one in for a year w/ no rent when I couldn't afford it b/c she dropped out of college and my mom wouldn't take her back. I got her a job at a store where I was an assistant manager. She repaid me by sleeping her way through the store and making work awkward. I still loved her. She suddenly lost some weight and told me that her friends were all jealous of how hot she was. Hour long conversations clocked in with at least 15 instances of her saying how hot she was. I usually got in a "yeah" or "uh huh". I got her cast-off clothing and the words "I can't wear them anymore b/c they're SOOO MASSIVE on me, hope you enjoy them" i.e. YOU'RE A MASSIVELY HUGE FREAK!!! FREAK!!! I could still deal. My hubby left the country on business for 2 months, on my birthday. She said she was sending me a present that would make up for my sadness. Said it was the "best care package ever". She sent me a shampoo and conditioner she bought for $8 total from Victoria's Secret that she'd bought for me 6 months prior and forgot to send. I went home for 2 weeks last year when my hubby was out of the country on business b/c I live in a separate state w/ no friends or family closer than 10 hours away. I stayed with my sister and her new hubby. My car had some problems while I was visiting with my in-laws and I took it in for emergency repairs. I called my sister (who was by now home from work) and said I was stranded at the repair shop until they fixed my car which would be about 5 hours. She said "ok, see you later". My other sister called while I was waiting and when she found out I was stranded immediately came and stayed with me the entire time. This changed things. My hated sister became my confidante. We talk all the time. The one I was best friends with I talk with once a month, usually when she hates her hubby or her job. Final nail in the coffin, my dog has terminal cancer. My mom sent me a necklace to cheer me up b/c I'm destroyed b/c my baby is dying(she's little and she's only 6, really unexpected). My sister used my house as a vacation spot for her and the hubby's anniversary. She said "nice necklace, where'd you get it?" I said "Mom sent it to cheer me up b/c I've been so ruined about ____having cancer" she said "I wish I had a dog that had cancer! (insert her laughter here)" Yeah. I almost dropped the c-bomb and told her to leave. But I let her stay and she and the hubby left a CSI crime scene in my guest bed for me to find, complete with stains, hair, and a bloody tissue. WTF?!? Okay, so I hate the b*tch.

At one time or another as we were growing up. But now she's my best friend and I'd die if we weren't close. You'll always have each other and nobody is going to love you like your sister/s. She and I had a lot of fights and we had a lot of good times. I know it's normal for you to feel this way if your only young, but believe me.... It will pass. They probably feel the same way you feel right now. Think about that. But I bet if someone was going to hurt you they'd be the first to stand up for you.

I used to hate my little sister, but now I'm a grown up. And she's one of my best friends.
I don't know how old you are, But if you're still a kid, then you probably will hate her for a long time. But one of these days, you will probably be her friend.

How old are you? I bet you are very young. When I was little I 'hated' my sister. i am 7 yrs older than her. I thought that she was obnoxious and bratty. We were always fighting. But as we grew up we learned to get along and now we are inseparable. And she is my children's favorite aunt.

I don't hate them, I just don't like to be around them and as a result I don't see them very much. But then I also live very far away from them and they feel that since I am the one who moved away I should bear the brunt of all long distance phone calls. So I don't really call them very much.
