My parents are very very Chinese. Refuse to let me hang out w/ friends because now I have a bf. They hate my bf because he's POOR. That's right, yup. I'm not lying. I've tried couseling and stuff. When i told them about my bf, they kicked me out of the house and my mom and dad almost got a divorce. They're always saying how I'm such a BAD CHILD. I have a 3.88 and plan to attend a good college. I take 6 AP courses, I'm a GOOD KID. Really, I am. I have Os for 5 out of 6 of my classes. I want to get my parents and I to a counseling secession, but they refuse to go. Saying it's MY PROBLEM, not theirs. Any way to get a conseulor to come home with me or perhaps get a court order? Or perhaps, will anybody like to adopt me? I'll be a rich kid someday. I have a future and you can brag about me! Well. yeah. I don't have money to pay the couselor though. :( but I'm hoping there is somebody out there that can help.

They have joint custody. The father is by far the better parent, but the child was placed with the mother because that is what is typically done. The father has a more stable home - stable income, better parenting styles, actually teaches hygiene, etc. We've tried for full custody, but the social worker didn't want to split the child from her half-sister that she lived with (though, she stated the father was the better parent). Her mother complains about the burden she is, so we're wondering if we should give another custody battle a go.

My parents are divorced!i livve with my dad in anihiem and my mom use to live in long beach. My mom just moved about 5 weeks ago to lake arrow head .. i use to go to my moms mostly EVERY weekend.. but now it is differrnt since my mom lives 2 hours away. So she said she would pick me up every othere weekend. So the first week she was there she said : We need to unload everything so you can come over next weekend .. then the next weekend i came over .. then the next weekend i was with my dad and then the next weekend my mom said said : ooo i cant come get you i am haveing ur aunt over so i cant come get you... then the next weekend she sad : oh i am babysitting and now i call her today and said so when are you picking me up this weekend and she said : this weekend i ma tooo busy .. so next weeekend will be better for me.. It is soooooooo unfair .. i have gone up there once since she has lived there and she has lived there for 5 weeks .. do you think this is unfair?

I am a 20 year old girl, and I live with my mom and younger brother. He is constantly disobeying her, leaving the house until all hours of the night, and it's hard for me to do anything because I don't want to get in the middle. Also he at 5' 10" and me at 5" 2" it's hard to stress that I'm an adult and he should respect me and my mom. She has tried grounding him, and taking stuff away, but nothing seems to work, and one of these days he is going to end up in jail. But I don't think that would even matter to him. He starts the 10th grade in a few months, and we are afraid since my dad died 15 years ago, that since he hasn't had a good role model, he'll end up down the wrong path. Any advice?

I live with my dad and my step mom. My step mom thinks that i dont care about her and she says that i don't show that i love her at all. I do love her and care about her but i just have a hard time trying to show it because everytime i try all she does is put me down. She just doen't realize that she is hurting me more than she thinks she is. And also growing up I have always been kind of afraid of her because she is really tough. How do I show that I care and get over my fear of my step mom?

My friend recently told me that her dad told her family in Sept. that he was gay and she found out that her mom has known for 11 years. We go to a conservative school and she doesnt want many ppl to know b/c she's scared they will judge her. What can I do to help her since she felt to confide this information to me? I really only know like 2 gay ppl and dont really know how to help her.

My mom is maybe just a few weeks pregnant and she already pretty much hates me how do i make her not mad at me anymore.
Life in my house is hell at the moment no matter what i do she's mad at me, my grandma says it's just because "your mom is pregnant and when she's pregnant she's mean". Should i stay out of her way? What can i do to lessen the tension between us?

I live alone with a landlord. i've told my mom and dad about my problem,but they ask me to stay in singapore for one year more. I recently got married, and now everyone (friends, family, whoever) keeps asking "So when are you gonna start having kids?". To which I respectfully inform them that I don't Ever want kids. And then they ALWAYS say "well you're still young, I'm sure you'll change your mind."
I wont change my mind. Why do people think I will? Why is it that because I have ovaries I have to have a kid? Why is it that everyone thinks you can't be happy unless you have a family? Aren't there any happy childless people out there?

respect me anymore. I am very hurt by this statement. It wasn't that long ago he brought something home for me "because I love you is why." Reason he doesn't respect me is he has an older brother (26) who is a drug addict and has been in and out of our lives for years. The last time he was in our lives, he was clean for a while and fell back (which my younger son predicted with accuracy). Before older son left last time, he stole everything again (he destroyed us financially years ago). It's hard being a parent of a drug addicted son - especially when you can't help but love him and want him better. I was the one who kicked him out last time. I'm not the one who allowed him back anyway. He said he's angry AT ME about all the things he did to us (going back 10+ years). These are my only two boys and I'm really hurting from this statement as my younger son is my world. He's expecting a baby too and I told him I hope he never hears words like I had to hear. What do you think?

My son (dan) and I are very close, he is a right chip off the old bloke. We enjoy the same things and are very keen gardeners. He moved out into a new house a few months ago and was getting on fine. However a letter was posted through my door the other day but i dont know who from. All it said was 'you need to help dan, he has a terrible weed problem and im worried he might turn to charlie'. I was very concerned as i always taught him well with her gardening and explained how weeds should be taken straight out.
I went round to his house and his garden looked immaculate so i cant see how he has a weed problem, i couldnt find a single one. I have no idea who Charlie is, i asume he is a fellow gardener. I dont know why they would worry if he turned to him? Maybe hes a poor gardener and will make it worse?
As ive seen my sons garden should i take this letter as a wind up or ask him if he needs help, i know he wont like me interfering as he wants to 'make it on his own' What should i do?

I'm 22 and finally moving out of my mom's house after months of thinking, it's hard for me because of my mom. She's very controlling, and nothing I do makes her happy and no matter how hard I try, it never meets her expectations. She gets mad at every little thing I do, like walking to the kitchen with my bare feet would get me yelled by her or leaving my flip-flops on the patio not the shoe rack gets her mad too, even though it only happens like once a month or so. I wanted to move out many times but everytime I found a place, she'd tell me that she doesn't want to see me ever again if I move out, doesn't matter if I'm dead or alive.
AFTER MONTHS OF THINKING, I finally made up my mind and want to move out for real (even found a place). After I told her about my decision, she made me to write her a check(payable to her)to compensate her, even though I pay her rent/utitiles monthly, then she called all our relatives and having them to call me to change my mind I guess,i need advice, TY!

Don't know how to cope anymore. My son (almost 9) lashes out and is mean to boyfriends son, I step in and stop it, but it aways ends up in same situation at one point in day. Tried to explain to boyfriend that he needs to get involved and not make my son feel like outsider so much (boyfriend "deserted us" 2 years ago, so this is starting over for us-my son was very hurt and is mistrustful and angry now). Boyfriends son is extremely challenging-very cute, but very whiney and cries for every single little thing-very tattley also. I am very patient with him, and very supportive also, but I am getting extremely tired of feelng that my boyfriend thinks his son is simply reacting to my son's behavior. My son truly only "picks" on boyfriends son when he has simply had enough of the crying, tattling, and whining. I also don't want my son to be a bully though-I am lost.
