My dad (stepdad) passed away in July 04 and I didn't find out until I tried to call him in Nov 04. His girlfriend told me he died. His family didn't try to make any contact whatsoever. I'm still struggling with it. I want to write to his family and tell them that I loved him as if he were my real dad. And tell them I'm very hurt still and I miss him every day. Is this appropriate?

my husbands parents are all pis*ed off because i am not ready to let anyone besides MY mom or husband babysit her alone. I let my mom because shes MY mom and i trust her with my life because she raised me i know how she does things. me and his parents had a big blow out about this. its not that they have done anything to ever hurt her i just am not ready for it. also i think how dare they question who watchs my kid. what do u guys think?

ok so my cousin is my age and he is so bad. he cuts himself, he steals, he tryed to kill one of his friends, he smokes, and i have tryed to help him because i love him so much. when we were younger he was such a good kid but it has all gone downhill in the past year, i dont want him to end up killing himself or ending up in jail "again" . he is only 14 and is planning to get married have 6 kids and take pills so all he has to do is sleep all day for the rest of his life. i want things to be the way they used to be. i thought about writing him a letter because it would be easier than saying it to his face. i am the only one he trusts and he has told me that, he think i am the only one left in the family who doesnt think that he is a psyco killer convict. i am the the only one who belives there is still some good in him. i dont know what to say to him but i want to help him. any advice???plz

My mother has a term life insurance policy and has named me and 3 brothers beneficiaries. She is 75 years old and fighting skin cancer after surviving lung cancer. She cannot afford the policy so she said she would drop the policy unless I wanted to take over the premium. My wife thinks I am crazy to do this.

Well, everyone loves their mom, whether they admit it or not is a different thing, but everyone has a special corner for her. Lord Krishna (Hindu God) once said, that he would take 10 births on earth just to get the love and attention of mother. What is it about your mom, that you have such a special place for her? I know mothers are same all over the world, that makes the feeling so universal. So be open, be candid, open out your heart and pour out all your feelings for that special person who gave you birth and taught you the wonderful things of life !

I have been babysitting for the same family for going on 3 years, the kids are practically partially my kids but i have to quit because my parents want me to start paying for my own stuff(car payment, insurance, cell phone etc.) its hard for me to let them go but i know i need to do it and would also like to try something new. i also want to still be able to see the kids occasionally and still be a little involved still in their lives even though i am not going to be with them every day. how should i tell the parents this?

im 17 years old. my grandma is staying down in north carolina with me and my mom and its getting really hard. all my grandma dose is yell and scream at people calling the miserble and stubbron. today she punched me in the arm for a person who whagihs 299 pounds and is like 60 years old she hits hard, not only that but she called me stupid too. is she trying to make me miserble or she dosnt love me vary much i need help i wish she would just go home.

my mom is always online looking at me and my sisters online stuff like aim and myspace. She reads absolutely everything and it is really annoying. we have no privacy. she also goes and looks at our friends stuff online too. we are far from being bad teens but we need our privacy. I have asked her to stop for a very long time but she just wont. we have to block all our stuff but she still finds a way in. everytime i ask her to stop she laughs and says "most parents dont even know how to work this stuff" and justs ignores the question. do you any of you have an idea on how to make her get out of our buisness?
