first off was she always this spiteful?
I had a relative that did the same thing, adn she was in the first stages of dying. She was normally very nice but round a year before she died, she was beginning to get very spiteful and hitting those who were trying to help her. She then died.
Try to do something special for her to let her know how much you love her, she might be feeling like she is unwanted and this is how she deals with it.

Talk to your mom about your grandma. Let your mom know how you feel and that you are upset at how your grandma is treating you and everyone else. Ask your mom to talk to her and tell her that what she's doing isn't right. I don't know how old you are - if you are 17 or 18 you should talk to her yourself, but if you are younger you don't want to come off disrespectful to your grandma.
Until she goes home try to keep yourself busy - go out with your friends, maybe get a part time job, and steer clear of your grandma when you can.

maybe your grandma is having trouble adjusting to her new home. (did she move in with you?) if so, try to find some common hobby the two of you can participate in together. when she's screaming and badgering you, be totally submissive, whether it means doing what she says, crying...whatever you think will get the message through to her. if she's the kind of person who's easy to chat with, tell her she's been a bit abrasive, but follow with an apology of your own(even if you didn't do anything worth apologizing for).

Why don't you sit down and talk to your mother about how she is making you feel. because talking to a lady that is 60 years old she is to set in her ways to listen to a 17 yr old. She needs to realize that she is miserable and stubborn and is making everyone around her miserable. If your mother and you sit down and tell her not to touch you like punching you and calling you names like stupid! then the old bat should change her ways. If not then tell your mother to watch what she is doing to you and sooner or later your mom is not going to put up with her bull crap. if that was my mother talking to my step daughter like that i would tell her where to go fly the kite at
oh and before i forget the old lady probably does love you she is just old and miserable and that's how some grand moms get when they get old.

That's just how North Carolina grandma's are.. lol
Maybe she is just getting old and is kinda getting real mean.
Just try to stay away from her. When she calls you names ignore her and think she's just old.....
I'm sorry we have all been there.
Wasn't being rude about NC I'm in NC
☺

No, she is human and wants to get attention like every one else...she ia afraid that every one will forget her because she is getting old...try to talk to her as a normal activitive and soft voice...shown her that you all love and care for her...you will see the changing in her soon.

Wow... I will pray for you. Maybe you should call your mom, or call somebody you know to come there and take you home. Good luck.
