Family - June 2006

My husband and I so much want a child in our home, but the costs of adopting one is staggering to middle income people. I don't work, but we own our home, and live comfortably, but to come up with the fees asked to just start the paperwork, well, it just isn't possible. We have thought of foster parenting, but we both love children so much we are afraid that we might get too attached to let the child be removed once we have fell in love with it. We have so much love to give a child, and it saddens me to see how some are starving and homeless, yet we can't afford to take one in and nurture and love it.

Ok here is the deal. my sister and i were raised in foster care. we were separated at ages 12 and 13, she took a diffrent path in life than me she chose drugs prostituion and abusive relationships, while i opted to stay in school, no drugs and am doing very well for myself. here is the problem, i love my sister, even though i hate her life style, but just recently i recieved a devestating call from her saying that my 5 month old nephew had died. now i was the one who cut his cord iwas there through labor and delivery, her boyfriend was at the house trying to sleep with my other sister, ( a whole other story) her boyfriend beats her and my other nephew and i hate him. well come to find out there were some indications that the babys death was NOT an accident, so after her other son was removed and he was put under investigation, she is still with him!!! How can i remain supportive to her when i know he had something to do with my nephews death, and she acts so figgen clueless!!!

I have a cousin who is 32 and hasn't had a real relationship yet, she's straight, good looking, very nice, but seems afraid to talk to guys. She's taken the job of taking care of his younger brother, who had a car accident and was left partly disabled, but i really wouldn't like to see her taking the role of nurse to him forever. She is driving me crazy! She is eleven years old and she is very argumentive, it's just her nature and she was born with it I guess. Everything I do to try and make her happy just doesn't work. Is this normal for an 11 year old? My family and I are going on a 2 week camping trip next week and I'm dreading it already. Any suggestions for me, in what I should do about it?

Hi, I've been married for 31 years to the same man. He's always tried to make me happy, he's been there for me when I've been sick or depressed. Often he will bring me little things to make me smile, like flowers. He's cute as a button. He is a great provider.

Once we took dancing lessons together and it was so much fun. We can dance together now when we want to. But, I guess my problem is, ............ummmm let me think here. Oh, I want attention from on the viewers on line!

I want you all to tell me what an idiot I am to want to divorce such a wonderful man because I am too stupid to realize what a true gem I have! Bottom line, doesn't it irk you when you constantly read "should I divorce" messages because people are BORED!!! It's making me crazy!!! Had to post this..sorry for the sacastic question. recently my MIL died very suddenly, there was no preperation time, she had 1200.00 in the bank in a savings account heres the issue she had no one elses name on the account so the bank states we have to go to court and be appointed executer to the will. With this Title (executer) are we then responcable for the medical bills that were not covered by her insurance. Ok if we do not go after that money where will it go? to her bills or lost in to the state.

have problems going shopping on my own, even visiting my mother is hard. I have tried to explain to him I need my time. He just says I enjoy being with you. I enjoy his company, but there are times I want my own time.
