We moved from Texas to Upstate New York last September and really couldn't afford it. So, for the whole month i packed up the house things to go with us and every Thursday,Friday,Saturday, and sometimes if not to tired Sunday had Huge Moving Yard Sales to let go of alot of the house items that we couldn't afford to take with us and could replace once we got to new home. I let go of things i thought I'd never part with but it's just things you can slowly replace later and good excuse to get new things lol. Money from sales helped with the gas prices and food. Try and get a gas card or two and check the types of gas stations that will be along the route your taking. That will help alot for the gas prices. Plus, saves your pocket money for food and sleep. I pray u have safe trip and good luck to you and may your Guardian Angels watch over you and keep you safe. Take it easy and plenty of stops to rest. Good luck hope i could help

There is a company call POD. They come and drop off a storage bin and then you pack it and lock it and then they pick it up and drop it off at your new location. It's fairly cheap, but moving cross country is going to be a little steep no matter which way you go due to the gas prices. Good Luck!!!!
