She is driving me crazy! She is eleven years old and she is very argumentive, it's just her nature and she was born with it I guess. Everything I do to try and make her happy just doesn't work. Is this normal for an 11 year old? My family and I are going on a 2 week camping trip next week and I'm dreading it already. Any suggestions for me, in what I should do about it?

Just talk to her and be honest. Tell her you don't understand why she is so negative and argumentative. When she argues with you - don't argue back. Just state what you want to say and walk away if she keeps at it. It's not healthy for her to be argumentative and very negative - it's not healthy for anyone.
Just be there for her and be her sister. Set an example for her that it's ok to be happy and not argue about everything. Just be yourself and if she starts bothering you then talk with her - and feel free to get your parents involved. Do they know how she really is?

I have a 11 year old brother that does nothing but try to get on my nerves every single day, like it is a mission or something. I have learned to ignore any auditory negativeness, but if you can't do that then I would recommend headphones. As for physical negativeness I return fire with like fire, I give him a couple hits.

she's 11. that's a time when we think we know it all. give her a few years and she will come to you more for help.
as for this camping trip, remind her of the bears in the woods who eat, naughty little girls. you might not make her happy, but you could give her a good scare.

God Bless you and your family in taking a 2 WEEK CAMPING TRIP with your sister!!!! She kind of sounds like mine, and everyone in my family has come to the conclusion that we just ignore her!! I tend to walk away as soon as possible whenever she gets into one of her "crazy spells"!!! And sorry to be the one to tell you, but it ISN'T because of her age, some people are JUST like that......my sister is 27 and she is STILL acting like that!!!! BEST OF LUCK!!!!

maybe something is bothering her and she's been keepin it inside forever...on the other hand, pre teens seem to always be mad...just try to ignore her i guess and go and do some stuff on ur own instead of always being w/ur family...u might meet other ppl @ the campsite and u can hang w/them when ur sister gets annoying

Shes just a kid,she'll grow up if you don't strangle her first.Give her time she'll come around.
