Hi, I've been married for 31 years to the same man. He's always tried to make me happy, he's been there for me when I've been sick or depressed. Often he will bring me little things to make me smile, like flowers. He's cute as a button. He is a great provider.

Once we took dancing lessons together and it was so much fun. We can dance together now when we want to. But, I guess my problem is, ............ummmm let me think here. Oh, I want attention from on the viewers on line!

I want you all to tell me what an idiot I am to want to divorce such a wonderful man because I am too stupid to realize what a true gem I have! Bottom line, doesn't it irk you when you constantly read "should I divorce" messages because people are BORED!!! It's making me crazy!!! Had to post this..sorry for the sacastic question. Have a great day.... And remember folks, "for better or worse, richer or poorer, in sickness and in health until death do we part!"

Ummmm... The main details here are,
1. Be thankful you have someone in your life to share life with...
2. Be thankful you have your health
3. Be thankful you have your intelligence
4. Be thankful you can walk
(I complained once because I had no shoes, and then I met a man who had no legs.)
5. Hold your head up and be a role model for others.
6. Tell your spouse you love him/her.
7. Tell your child/children you love them.
8. Volunteer to help those less fortunate than yourself
9. Get a book on humor and learn one joke a day!
10. Stand up and flush the 'pity pot' for once and for all! Now walk away from it forever!

Well, I think when people ask this kind of questions, they are insecure themselves, probably knowing that something needs to get done and changed, but probably are either not able or willing to change what needs to get done in order to make a marriage working. How many times it reads just like banalities and I am also wondering...what did they actually marry for? To legalize sex? Heck, most of the people I know go on free dating, not even thinking of marriage. We change over time, they change over time...it's the person we married, not his looks, or his wallet (oh well, some people do that, right...)

They easily throw away the good memories while finding an extreme hardship in a difficult situation.

As you said, marriage means you stand up to your marriage vows. If people would not have the option of divorce, probably they would see marriage in a whole different light and put more effort into it to make it work!

HUZZAH!!!!

thank you.!!!
why some folks insist on the negitive attention is beyond me...maybe its the only kind, they are used to getting?{in which case they have my sympathy....but not my attention}....

i completely understand your fustration...
thank you for defending, a positive outlook...in all of life...{and a virtual "hug" for your fustration....} remember, we can bring enlightenment to them....but we can not make them believe...

I would argue that the future of our country hangs in the balance because the future of marriage hangs in the balance. Isn't that the ultimate homeland security, standing up and defending marriage?

I think that it is sad that people are so willing to get divorced. But I don't think they ask the question b/c they are bored and want attention from others. I think they ask b/c they have a serious problem in thier marriage and, sadly, it is easier for them to talk to a thousand on-line strangers than it is for them to talk to thier husband or wife. Communication..it either makes or breaks a marriage.
