I have a mate who lives in another country who I used to work with. We got on really well and I class him as a mate. I only speak to him about once or twice online a year so we aint exactly close or anything. I knew he was getting married and said I'd try and go if I can aslong as I wasn't at uni at the time of it. Well I have now been invited to it and it is on the weekend before I go back to uni. Also I am having bad financial problems so really don't think I can afford to go, and I want the weekend before I go back to uni to prepare myself and unpack at my home there etc. Also I don't know anyone other than the one getting married so being in a country that don't speak my language and all the other problems makes it hard for me to go. I feel really guilty though as he said I said that I would go and I know he will be very angry if I don't go. What should I do?

I have dated this woman for a year
We are COMPLETLY IN LOVE and are talking marriage when the time is right and both have mentioned next year...
THAT BEING SAID... i have yet to meet her parents.
given their conservative nature i will have to ask her father first for his blessing. I just dont see how im going to get an ok given that she was just offically divorced (has been seperated for 3yrs) and the fact by when i want to ask her they will only think i have been with her for 6 or so months....

I honestly do love this woman to death but this is really starting to get difficult.

any advice on what to do or ways to handle this
thanks

http://jezebel.com/gossip/hells-bells/trashing-on-trash-the-dress-267804.php

Apparently the latest wedding photography trend is having pictures of the bride "trashing" her expensive dress in an artistic way. This could be anything from the bride being on horseback to actually setting it on fire or immersing it in ocean water. Anyone here "trashed their dress" or plan to do that?

Accidentally stumbled across some information that equates to my brother-in-law cheating on his wife (they have 3 young children). He has 3 mistresses in 3 different states (he travelsf or work). And one of them, he has booked a long weekend trip to Aruba in november.

Anyways, I need some advice on how to handle. Tell my wife (his sister)? Go straight to him? Confront the women (i have their email addresses)? Address his wife?

Thanx in advance.

My husband and I are Christians we read our Bibles every night before bed and my husbands Bible is a really old cheap Bible. For his birthday this year i bought him a really nice new black leather Bible, but I also want to write a really meaningful letter to him in it.

Does anyone have any ideas of what I could write him?

Would you consider kissing someone, with some passion, cheating? I know emotional cheating is horrible, almost worse then physical cheating. BUT if your spouse was just attracted to a woman, had a few too many, acted on impulse, but the result was a kiss...would you be as hard on them as if it were emotional cheating or actual sex?

My now ex husband had an affair and left for the other woman. After some time, he apologized. He said he was very sorry that he hurt me and that he truly wants me to be happy in the future. He says he feels disappointment, sadness and guilt that our marriage ended the way it did. Although I deal with him for our son' sake and never say/do anything that would impact their relationship - I do not know if I can accept his apology. I am a forgiving person. My mother always told me I let people walk over me because I always forgive too easily. I just can't seem to accept this apology however. Maybe in time? Has anyone out there truly fogiven their ex-spouse for hurting them this way?

I know you probably think I'm crazy but think about it. Have you ever seen behind someone's exterior to something deeper, something inexplicable that makes even you question your sanity? Have you ever wanted the same for someone that you've wanted for yourself? Do you think that maybe, when you look at someone, you don't just see their gorgeous face or unusual eyes? That they give off this aura that tells you something about them? Something beside the obvious? Well?

we had our first one-on-one date a few weeks ago after hanging out with mutual friends a few times previously. the date went great. in fact we made out all night! afterwards, i came to two of his gigs (he's a musician) and he came to one of mine (i, as well, am a musician). and he kissed me goodbye at the one gig. when i called him a week later to ask him out again, he said he'd like to and that he'd call me the next day. but he never did and instead texted to me that he had to work and couldn't see me. but i know he didn't have a gig. it could only have been band practice, which does not take all day! he doesn't call me... ever. but he comes to my gigs, and always hugs me when he greets me and seemed to like me a few weeks ago on our first date. what's going on?

I'm probably making more of a big deal then it actually is but, I remarried about 2 years ago and have a 16 year old stepdaughter that has her mom wrapped around her finger.

Everynight and I mean Everynight, when my wife gets home from work, she has my wife drive her and her friends all over town (mall, restaurant gatherings, pick friends up, take home...Not to even mention the weekends) I made a comment to my wife that it would be nice if the parents of all the other friends could at least once in a while either take them or pick them up rather than my wife or I doing both. This hit a nerve with my wife and that she doesn't mind doing this, but I can tell that's she is physically run down. My stepdaughter out of the group is the "activity planner" so's she first to call us. I get home 3 hours before my wife during the work week and I commute them at least 3-4 days a week, so my real issue is if I'm tired on having to do this 3-4 days, why isn't my wife?

I would like to hear womens' opinion on casual sexual relations. I know it sounds kinda piggish for a man to be asking but I was just curious.

I have been home schooled for four years. I truly dislike it. He doesn't send me to community ed because I do not do want to do the things that he wants me to do that are in the catalog ( I honestly do now want to identify wild mushrooms). I used to have friends, but I don't ever talk to them anymore because they are busy and hang out with other people. I live in a childless neighborhood. My dad doesn't like the public schools, because he thinks that they are bad and that they will pollute kids. I never did anything bad at school ( never stole, never got in trouble). All of my ex-friends were nice and good people, yet he still dislikes them! What would help me make him change his mind into letting me go to public school?
