Guys prefer the girls to make the first move.
I'm personally tired of making the first move, i want the female to do it for me.
But most guys dont want it, they just prefer it. Thats all

I asked the same question last week. My boyfriend and I have been together for 7 months now and he always was the one to make all the decisions and the first moves in our relationship. Now he wants to change that so I have to make more decisions in this relationship...which I don't mind doing at all. The only problem is I don't know how to make the first move. Today, for example, we were sitting on the couch watching a movie and he didn't touch me at all. I wanted to do something, but I didn't know what would be best. Half way through the movie, he gave up and put his arm around me.

I think that guys and girls should share the first moves...maybe in the past guys were suppose to make the first move, but I understand that they are getting tired of always doing it...but the only problem is some girls like me are afraid to do it. I am getting better at it though ;) and he seems to enjoy it more when I am the one who starts things.

I don't mind making the first move, or at least I didn't when I had the confidence to do it. I've never had a guy be displeased by it. I think it kind of takes the pressure off them, and they don't have to worry about being rejected. Especially back in the day, when so many guys thought they wouldn't stand a chance, I kind of had to get the ball rolling with the decent ones.
However, I've had boyfriends who admitted they got off on "the thrill of the chase." Maybe I gave in too easy if I liked them a lot, and then it seemed like they didn't know what to do with me once they had me! Like a dog chasing a car. What are they going to do once they catch it? I think guys are hard-wired to be the pursuers. That's okay with me. I'll play hard-to-get if that's what turns them on. It's probably good for them to have to work for it, and I don't want to seem too easy.
So I guess it just depends on the guy. Some want to pursue, and some want to be pursued. Take your cue from them.

I like for they guy to make the first move b/c that way I am reassured that its something they want. I am shy so regardless if I want to do (whatever it may be) or not I would not make an advance. I can honestly say too though that it would suck to have that pressure as a guy to try and read the girl on what she wants/thinking.... with that said I try to make it obvious to them. once past the first or second awkward times (in a new relationship) I think they should be equal on both sides.

Guys probably think it's sexy if the girl makes the first move nowadays, but I'm conservative, and I like the traditional "men make the first move" thing.

I think it shows confidence on the man's part, and no woman wants to have to prove herself to a man that won't even make a move to show her that he wants her.

because if the girls dont like it theyll pitch a fit and tell everyone and make the guy look like an idiot.

I think woman should as well as men. It's a modern world and we're supposed to be equal!

I myself can go either way, so it really doesn't matter to me if she makes the first more or if I have to do it.
