Why cant girls just tell us that they aren't interested, why do they have to string us along nad give us false hope like that?

Coz, sometimes even if we dont want a guy..., from as much as we can explain things in proper, we use words and phrases that a man can understand why we two are not meant to be...and so that he can accept it on a positive way. Because we dont want to break a man's heart....we also feel guilt seeing someones crying because of not having "us (girls)" as their girlfriend.
