My husband and I are Christians we read our Bibles every night before bed and my husbands Bible is a really old cheap Bible. For his birthday this year i bought him a really nice new black leather Bible, but I also want to write a really meaningful letter to him in it.

Does anyone have any ideas of what I could write him?

This is JUST to jolt my mind! Please do not be mean. I am not looking for exact phrasing and I will be putting a lot of personal stuff in it, I just was looking for something to help me get my mind in the right mode.

Thank you for not being mean or rude!

To My Husband,

The Lord says "a threefold cord is not quickly broken.) Our love for eachother and our Lord has made our cord strong and powerful. Reading God's word will help our love endure.

(or something like this)

Write, "See 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7. It describes exactly what you mean to me!"

Oh, and just so you don't have to look it up, this is what he will see when he gets there:

Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

What a great gift. Look through the Old Testament for a nice quote having to do with loving a mate. Then just tell him how much you love him.

Write the things that you respect about him (that he's a man devoted to God, that he's a good provider, etc) maybe make a reference to psalm 112 or some other scripture that talks about qualities he has.

Write him a letter from your heart.

It's not what you say, or write, that's really important. It's what you do.
Read the 13th Chapter of I Corithians. I'm sure you know it. "Love is patient, love is kind..." Once you've read it, live it.

Hey! :)
Thanks for asking me!!

Well, if it was my Birthday, (which was on Monday!), I would like to remember what the Bible says about me....and how Jesus cares for me. (Eternally)

That coupled with my sweeties' message how they love me.

Maybe how you both met, esp. if it was centered around church, or was an answer to Prayer!!

And let me think some more about this...did you pray about it???

The Lord Bless your Marriage!!!
