My sister introduced me to this guy from her work. He's a fairly sexy goodlooking guy. He asked me out and I said yes. So we set up a date for tomorrow night. The problem is that I don't want to go out with him. I just don't want to. I feel a bit depressed, and don't feel like meeting new people, specially those that can add complications to my life. Anyway, what can I do at this point? Do I call and cancel? Or should I just flake on him. What would you do?

Three years ago in college my five friends and I all swore up and down we would be in each other's weddings as bridesmaids. This has held true for three weddings so far, and I am the fourth to get married. Our one friend who is unmarried and does not have a boyfriend has been gaining weight since the last year of college. She is no up to something like 180 pounds. She looks like Jabba the Hutt! The other friends put up with her in their weddings, when she jsut looked kind of fat. But now she is frickin obese. I don't want her in my wedding party, but we don't even ask each other, we just assume we are in the wedding. So, my question is I am annoucing my engagement at party this Saturday. I want the other girls in the party, but the fifth one, no way, no how. How do I do this without ticking her off. The other's understand, they know she's a whale. But she is also my friend, so I don't want to be mean. I jsut don't want her in the wedding.

ive been with my b/f for 3 years, the past 8 months have been hard. he quit his job and for 8 months has not really tried to find a new one. i finally got fed up and broke up with him. i said show me you care and get a job and i'll be here but right now i needs to concentrate on school he flipped out and now says he's moving to his dads across the state! he gave up, he said hes done with everyone and im slefish cuz i didnt stay i did everything fro him! i gave him so much money for job interviews. do i let him go? what do i do

My ex who said he loved me so much he hates me, called my fiance and talked to him for 2 hours. 2 hours!!! I don't know what they talked about but my fiance thinks the whole situation is hilarious.
I was with my ex for 8 yrs so I'm sure he had alot to say, but he dumped me, said he hated me & never wanted to see me again. I haven't talked to him for more than a yr. I don't understand, do you?

My wife says that I’m too effeminate and wants me to appear/be more masculine. Up to now I’ve told her to get over it, but its becoming more of an issue for her. Should I be making more of an effort to change this or is it just her problem?
According to her the following bothers her:
Feminine mannerisms, i.e. facial expressions, movements, talking with my hands
I enjoy cooking, organizing my kitchen or cleaning the house as much as I do working in the garage or getting greasy with my truck.
It really bugs her I like to pick out outfits for her and can mix and match her wardrobe (I think she dresses frumpy) but half the time I look like an orphan.
Typically I listen to Rock/heavy metal but have the guilty pleasure of some “girl CDs” i.e. Gwen Stefani, PKD etc. It really embarrasses her that I know the words and sing to them.
As far as intimacy she’s happy overall but thinks it’s strange I want to be the one pampered sometimes.
Last some of her friends implied to her that I'm bi.

Because she is also my sister-in-law because her sister is my brother's wife. Plus when my brother and his wife(my sister-in-law) have kids, me and my sister-in-law's sister will have the same nieces and nephews.
That also means me and my brother will have the same mother-in-law and father-in-law. My sister-in-law's parents are like my aunt and uncle. My parents and their parents are very close and we visit alot. When I told my sister-in-law that I like her sister she laughed and said you "can't marry your own sister-in-law". For your information we are Afghans, and for us Afghans there is a real word for aunt-in-law and uncle-in-law wich also means there are cousin-in-laws. So we are already related by marriage but it will just look wierd. My sister-in-law's sister is like my sister and treates my like a brother and I treat her like a sister. I do not know if she is considered my sister-in-law too is she? Because in the Afghan way she is.

This situation crossed my mind as I was reading answers to one of my other questions....
Some answers made mention of actually calling those who did not send back the rsvp.....

Is that actually appropriate and acceptable to CALL people about their rsvp?
Wouldn't that make some people feel kinda pressured or "put on the spot?" Wouldn't that make you kinda look like your "insistant" or something???
Just curious on what the majority thinks.....

I am really starting to think that my husband is cheating on me. He is getting some phone calls that he is not picking up when I am around. He is snicking around the house and taking some things from basement to his office when I am asleep. Each time when I walk in to his office on his computer he is closing the websites or whatever he is working on. Last night I noticed how he walked to the laundry room to check on his pants packets and he grabbed some piece of paper and hide from me when I walked in on him. I talked to him about all of it, obviously he said that I am imagining things. I know that I don’t I know him.

I am divorced for 2 years and so far I've been able to take care of my two sons without their father's help. He has not giving me any child support for the last year and even before that he just gave me whatever amount he wanted. When I called him to ask him for money and to take care of the kids every once in a while so I could take my classes and work he told my son to tell me to stop calling him and I did. He ruined my credit and people still call me to collect on a truck that he drives and he agreed to pay (my name is on it too). They call me because he changed his number and moved so they can't contact him. When I emailed him to ask him to take care of the situation he told me to stop emailing him and I did. Now he wants to spend time with the kids, but doesn't call me to ask me if it's ok, he calls my son. He gave me full custody of the kids. Should I ask him to get lost and stop trying to contact the kids? The reason I'm not sure is that they seem happy to having him around.

We are considering planning our wedding for February 2008. Next year (2008) Valentine's Day will fall on a Thursday, so maybe the Saturday or Sunday before or after Valentine's Day would work. Have you read or heard anything about this being a particularly good or bad time to have a wedding? I was thinking maybe flowers, for example, could be more expensive because of the close proximity to the Valentine's Day rush, but I don't know for sure. We want to get married when it's still a comfortable temperature in Florida. Time is moving quickly so we need to pin down a set date soon! Thanks for your input.

Me and my husband are considering going to marriage counsiling because we argue all the time and we have to make it work because we just had a baby and we love eachother but we dont know how to comumunicate right.( we use to when we were dating) but i dont know if it would help us or it could make it worse?? has anyone ever been.. we dont really even know what they do there i know they talk to you but how is it? is it worth it? around how much do they charge and should we see a male or female?? please help
