all couples -no matter how much they love each other - disagree and get into arguments and fights. what is considered normal? when is it considered too much? once every two weeks? once every three or four days? what do you think? and based on how many arguments or fights you have , when would you decide to end it?

im intersted to know what you all think

I was recently divorced after 20 years. Not to say that it was a good relationship, we stayed together for the kids. But he has had a new girlfriend since the time we were lagally separated. since she has come into his life he thinks that he can DICTATE to me when what and where about my son, even though I got primary custody of our 15 yr old son (the youngest of the 4). This summer my mother fell very ill, and with summer vacation he thinks that I should not be able to see him (as I am traveling back and forth from Fl. to Ga.) I had to call my lawyer to make him let me see him for a weekend. I know that she is behind all of his decisions (only because he is not a man and I have had to be this way too throughout our 20 marriage). The only reason he is with her is for her money, she has bought a home and he is moving out of our home and it's being foreclosed, I also have a 50 % interest in. How do I deal with him and her when they are both acting like little kids? Or am I being a wimp.

Recently his son (23) moved in with us and although dynamics have changed with us - he has regressed to being like a child, saying he has more than me when it comes to food, starting a discussion and walking off and generally demanding attention, and now has stopped helping me around the house and waits to be waited on.... please advise how i can get him to see how is behaving and finding out why?

my soon to be ex husband thinks he can pass crude comments of a sexual nature wanting to see certain parts of my body, he makes me feel he is looking at me like a dirty old man .Other things have happened over the years during our married life but i do not want to let the whole world know but again it is a sexual nature.Anything i say to him he turns it around to sex it is degrading, and i am now starting to get up set over it and have filed for divorce ,i just do not understand the man i married 20 years ago could change so much i feel he does not respect me or our daughters and most of all himself x thank you in advance for answering xx sarah x

We both long hours and he works at nite and I work in the day time. I asked him when he got home in the AM and he told me it was not my business, and accused me of trying to control him. I was just trying to decide if he had enough sleep.
He gets calls all of the time on his cell phone while we are out and about and sometimes talks for 10 minutes and I was informed not to ask him who was on the other end because it was me trying to control him.
He accused me of reading his mail and going thru his belongings. His house is such a mess, I may have looked at something laying on the table like a catalog or advertisement , while I was sitting there, but not just to get into his mail
He says I am trying to control him. I think he is nuts! Where do you draw the line here? What is his problem?
There is so much more I could tell you, but not enough space here.

One of my roommates and I are very close and very open about our sexual relationships. She's definitely one of my best friends. She has been dating this wonderful guy for a year and half now. Seriously. He treats her like a queen. He would never do anything to hurt her. I would stake everything I have on that statement.

So Friday night, she and her boyfriend went out to dinner. They came back to our apartment, and out came the alcohol. My friend had quite a few shots, but her boyfriend was keeping an eye on her. I heard them talking in the hallway -- she wanted to drink more rum, but her boyfriend told her that four shots was enough; he didn't want her getting sick. They retired to her room, where sex apparently occurred, because shortly after their discussion in the hall, my friend burst into my room (dressed, thank goodness) and proclaimed, "MY BOYFRIEND IS A SEX GOD!" It was all rather amusing, and it seemed like my friend was having a damn good time.

Why do people point to their wrist when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

My STBEx-Husband seems to be the classic Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. When he's w/his "mistress" (whom he left me for) he's a total Mr. Hyde -- rude, cold, says hateful things, says that he hates me more than anything, calls me inappropriate names, laughs at his "mistress" when she does the same to me, complains about me asking for $$ for our daughter. But when she's not around, & our daughter & I are visiting him, he's Dr. Jekyll -- nice, friendly, all smiles, apoligizes for earlier events, swears he does NOT hate me, gives me $$ (though never very much) without complaining, has even bought me lunch several times.

I dont get it? I simply want to be friends w/him for our daughter's sake, but it's not going to work if I'm the friend in person, but the "evil ex" when she's around.

I'm curious to try to understand why he's acting like this? Is he trying to impress her? or just being fake? why is he only nice when she's not there?
